underrated opinion.........movies directed by him are all very successful.....nobody know audience like him......he directed movies in 4 different decades and all of them were massive hits...the only indian director to pull this off...

I think people should move ahead from the thought that a hero going to sell the tickets and if its hit ..then its the actor who gave the hit and if its a flop its the actor who gave flop ... Its a silly thinking and narrative as well as very disrespectful towards all filmmakers and towards other actors who arent the protagonist And filmmakers should invest more thought into the kind movie thry are making not in stardom and popularity of an actor who gonna casted where they just make mediocre projects that run over a Star's stardom I know some exceptional 1% actors have that kind of stardom But maximum people dont have even though they do have fans and talent And 90s and 80s were very different times in movies when common people didnt know much about filmmaking and an actor was just used to work as a hero and most of films were all similar kinds and that time an actor's popularity actually was a big factor in making a film hit And media for entertainment were very limited to just movies and only city people had TVs in their home But in todays time of multiplexes and ott and different media of entertainment existing and when the quality and genre and content of film means so much ....the trade experts and also some producers still comparing actors by the box office record their films made is extremely wrong for a movie industry
