The box is signed „Petergod”, what means „City of Peter”, the old and original name of Petersburg, where the watch was produced. Also the factory, the oldest one in Russia, has been established by the same ruler, Peter the Great in 1721 (it did not manufacture watches then yet).

@O BOZ actually the last letter is F. This is the last letter of the name of the city Petergof where the Raketa factory is located. And finally St Petersburg and Petergof are two different cities, but they are located very near to each other, less than 50km.

I have an identical one, also badged as new and made in 1994. Mine had also been opened (had no case back gasket either) but it works fine. Replacing the strap was the first thing I did.

I own 2 Koperniks. One has a black dial & boxier crystal, the other has a white dial & rounder crystal. For a long time, I wished I could swap the dials. I just used this video to learn how to do it, and I like both of them better now after the mods. I am even going to wear one of them at my wedding!

Thank you for this nice video but I am afraid that the yellow, hour hand does not represent the Sun. The bull's eye part of the watch represents the Sun. The large circle, Minute hand, symbolizes the Earth revolving round the Sun once a year. The smaller circle, hour hand, represents Jupitor which orbits around the sun once in 12 years! No wonder the minute circle goes 12 times faster than the hour circle! I do not know who designed this model but he must have been a genius.

Patrząc na wykonanie tego zegarka aż się nie chce wierzyć że Rosjanie latali w kosmos . Jednego czego nie żałowali przy jego produkcji to napewno smaru do mechanizmu 😀

@@tickingWATCH Ale to nie jest zegarek z lat 60 tylko 90 wtedy stal szlachetna już nie musieli ładować tylko w wojsko według ich doktryny . Właściwie to nic tego zegarka nie ratuje oprócz nietuzinkowego dizajnu wskazówek 😀. Z drugiej strony jaki to mógłby być piękny zegarek jeśli by zrobili koperte w złocie jak np. polioty i do tego gliszowana biala tarcze .
