I have observe anwar behaviour since the early 90s. my analysis is, he is a narcissist that wants to be PM at all cost. He would play nice with you using his charm to be PM but in a split second wil throw you under the bus if he saw its a better way to reach his objective. also kuat dendam.

This high profile case took 4 yrs, costing millions of rgt & witnessed extraordinary courage from 9 judges at 3 levels of court system had to be finally undermined this way w/o cogent reasons. Legally, the one third remission can't be applied to Najib but some expect his camp to eventually obtain the DNAA. The last straw is that rakyat is asked not to talk about the PB decision. Your hse has been robbed but u r requested to gracefully accept it. Msia hari ini.

Banduan ini tetap menjadi masala kpd negara selagi dia masih hidup.kadangkala saya fikir apa dia mahu lagi,dah partially pardon langsung tak syukur.. MO1 got 50% discount in his jail duration & 76% discount of RM210 million reduced to just RM50 million. Is the pardon board fully independent, if so it raises more questions than answers. Most rakyat expect an outright rejection as this felon ex PM brings disgrace to the nation for his thieveries.

(Just like one voice of PMX alone, can't be responsible for the entire PB's decision. Must be other underlying factors. Puan Mariam, do frankly tell us whom shall we vote, we'll support your agenda.) This is one glaring fact that Najib is very much privileged. By right, his 1MDB fiasco sud surpass whatever contributions he had made for the country (he was paid as HIS duty as PM!). The huge losses incurred have a greater impact to the people. The daughter's voice seem to be more prominent than that of the taxpayers. Pua is speaking on their behalf whose cry for justice seems lost in the wilderness.

The truth is Malaysia never never attained Merdeka, it only changed from British colonial to Malay Neo colonial. The only difference was you are given the right to one vote every five years but the citizens remain enslaved as workhorses of the upper class politicians. Najib was actually sentenced to a total of 72 years imprisonment for his crimes which included 7 counts of criminal breach of trust, money laundering and abuse of power; concurrent sentencing reduced it to 12. Now reduced to 6yrs - unbelievable.

Great analysis. However I think one point that she left out was how this Pardon board with😊 full approval of the PM managed to get our beloved King snared in this scandal. And having the King’s seal of approval on his last few days before he left office left a stain on his wonderful reign. And it must be clear to all that the only person responsible for this pardon was our PM and he alone must be held responsible. PM Anwar Ibrahim when will you submit your resignation to our new King?

pardon board by its name is working against judiciary, it is its job to void punishments stipulated by the legal system. it is not working based on logic but more on sentimental considerations. if you use common sense to judge the pardon board and demand it to work based on malaysia laws, you are not being logical. to be clear, i am not a big fan of 50% discount, but just trying to be logical.

Anwar is too hard up for Zahid-Najib's bargaining chips! He had freed Zahid, now one leg out for Najib. Going to be Najib-Rosmah other ongoing cases. It is going to be endless demands at the price paid by the people of Malaysia. When one is too egoistic, surely lose one's head & definitely ended up being used like toilet paper.

The Pardons Board chief and the staff involved in the recommendation and preparation of the application have to be investigated and their appointments terminated. Never to be employed in any public service departments or bodies. This is such a huge embarrassment to Malaysia!

Not a shock or surprise I expected Full pardon...as this is the conception and authorative No questions allowed of those in Power.. Elected or "non elected" care Zero for those who "voted" them into Power.. The Rakyat here trusted the present PM10 who over did his stay in Jail and fight with TDM.. instead of elevating the shortages his Voters are suffering

In GE16, Malays will vote for PAS. The Chinese will continue to vote DAP since DAP voiced their objection. MCA quietly endorsed Umno’s action. Corruption is entrenched into the culture and many still quietly pay their bribes to traffic police, and some podcast hosts even argued the bribes are needed to supplement their low wages.

And this person has special treatment, VIP prisoner with special privileges. But when a no body ... a desperate person steals milk to feec his or her child ... or stole few hundred ringgits ... long term prison with no pardon. There are also such cases where people who got a few strokes of the canning for such crimes too!!! But these political VIPs are above the law ... always helped by their cronies in the government in getting away.

Special treatment for prisoners with political powers but severe punishment for commoners for minor offenses and no pardon for them. Very disappointed and feel empty with the MADANI Government. The people are burdened with foreign debt ie. with a reduction in subsidies, an increase in tax/SST and others in the near future😢 . Finally, the common people will be affected by this Pardon. Political/powerful people, will still live peacefully and happily with their ill-gotten country's money!!!

Exactly. U describe it well. Anwar is stuck btw a rock & a hard place. As one NK Khoo rightly said "He has no choice but to let UMNO leaders escape in order to maintain Unity Govt." At the same time, his popularity is unfairly damaged. Thank God, obviously now his name is cleared by the backlash of Shafee's statement who in his desperation to meet N's demand for instant freedom has forgotten what he shouldn't disclose. Shafee indeed has unintentionally explained for Anwar. Hope it's not too late as he's really doing his utmost best to save the nation.

If one were to look at all the big unresolved national issues from previous administrations up to the current issues by this administration now as results and effects from poor formulation of policies and continued failure to take the much needed corrective steps decade after decades , we are now too far into the abyss. Kata pepatah, kalau dah sesat jalan, pulang ke pangkal jalan, tapi pangkal jalan kita dah terlalu lama dan terlalu jauh ditinggalkan. We are not the masters of our collective fate anymore but are left at the mercy of regression and the doubling down of its policy mistakes.
