The Raleigh Fire Department is investigating a rap video filmed inside one of their fire houses. The video released Monday night and included profanity throughout and flashing lights on the firetrucks parked inside. The video, posted to RU-vid by local rapper CEO Showoutt, showed flashing lights from the firetrucks parked inside the firehouse.
WRAL News contacted the Raleigh Fire Department, who released the following statement.
“The Raleigh Fire Department is aware of the rap video produced in front of Station 12. The Raleigh Fire Department is investigating the matter.” WRAL News asked CEOShowoutt about the RFD’s statement. The rapper did not respond to WRAL News but posted several stories on Instagram.
“I’m trying to figure out how it’s an investigation. I literally asked to do it,” he said. “Take that up with the fire departments…I didn’t do nothing wrong.” It is unclear how often the Raleigh Fire Department has allowed music videos at their firehouses or if they will change any policies moving forward.
