Can we just admire the fact that not only did this guy keep running full tilt while being clawed by an angry cat, but also just straight hurdle jumped the barrier flawlessly while still keeping a grip on the cat.
No. He was way too impatient. So what if the game is going to be delayed for awhile. Look at how many games have long delays because of rain. He should have coaxed the cat with catnip and slowly brought the cat off the field.
come on now...im a cat lover and this poor grounds crew guy did the damn thing. the cat was fine and even escaped later that same night while they were looking for an owner. so YES! the fact he hurdled the barrier with zero issue...give the dude a contract already
@@quesocfh6080 No way! You call yourself a cat lover. Come on. That cat would not have bitten and scratched that man if he had treated the cat gently. He should have walked up to the cat gently. Then, he should have coaxed the cat with catnip to help calm the cat. He should have petted the cat to show the cat that he wasn't going to hurt the cat. Then, he should have walked slowly off the field with the cat. That would have been the loving way to treat the sweet cat. He definitely used the wrong approach.
@@Rohit-vz2bx with that much money in baseball they could have called a professional animal handler.... That guy was holding her like she was football. Ofc she's gonna be freaked out and scratch him.
😂😂 so sad Mom: what do you wanna become in lyf He: *a cat* Mom: why? He: *so that i can run naked in to court and not get arrested* Mom: *as if you wanting to become a cat is not weird enough* 😂😂
Then he must have been screaming afterwards, hey bud , help me out here will'ya, they are throwing me outta the game. And the player must have been like, sorry bud , guess you gotta deal with it.
For anyone wondering, they did find a home for the cat. There was an article on him a year later. All cats and dogs should have loving homes and there is no second side to that story.
This cat was raised in the wild and survived and got fat without needing a human. They have other feline friends in the wild. Let the cat live in the wild with their friends, and let them train their hunting skills. Why white people always wanna have this white knight savior complex lol, those cats can easily survive in the wild and will love it there. Animals are animals, no need for a human
@@omariangel1 It's pretty easy to conclude. She's not very big, so shes likely young, and loud noises scare most animals. My cat gets freaked out if my family gets too loud, I imagine hundreds of people yelling would give the same effect.
Ya. And we can talk about how the cute little kitten ran all the way across the field and was nearly off the field when this jack ass runs all the way across the field and grabs the cute little kitten and runs all the back across the field with her. What a stupid asshole.
True; shoulda grabbed the scruff with one hand (triggers an instinct to be docile) and the back legs with the other. (cuz the scruff isn't much support by itself) And then of course he should have *squeezed* *that* *cat*
When they want to go through you, those teeth pierce flesh with ease. Let's you know that a cat knows exactly what they are doing when they are nicely playing with you, and when they need to teach you a real lesson.
Steve The cat is fine. He was picked up by a local Animal shelter. The cat definitely has thousands of people wanting to adopt it. He's going to get a forever home & probably his own Instagram.
Anyone should know picking up a cat of any age is going to be dangerous if it’s not your cat. We all know they go sharp-side out immediately after you pick them up. I’m just glad neither one of them got hurt and I hope the little cat had a good life.
I feel bad for the guy not the cat it was his job and everyones hating on him thinking he should be experienced with cats and holding it correctly. He was brave picking up a stray cat and he got scratched and bitten. The cat wasnt harmed he was. Noone is gonna take thier own little time carrying it across the field during a baseball game. Show the man respect. (this is my opinion)
ezra draken He did do a good job getting the kitten off the field. It just surprises me that so many people don’t know how to pick up a cat to keep them both safe. 😊🕊🌈❤️
Oh, poor baby that man got bit and scratched because he grabbed a small kitten held it so poorly and scared the crap out it how will he ever recover from the trauma. He's a big boy I'm sure he can handle some scratches, not to mention he doesn't deserve respect for doing his job.
Samantha Foster The cat's head was cut off and its brain was checked for rabies since it bit him. Dude could of been screwed since there isn't any cure for rabies in humans. He should of picked the cat up with gloves or a thick towel to not risk his well being. To say poor baby over a stray cat bite tho, I'd say you're probably just as uneducated on the issue as he was.
@@randomstuff4020 Nothing serious dude. I was just testing to see who'll respond to this. In almost every video, I see at least a few comments (like the one I did) from chick-hungry guys replying to all female comments they see.
Chuck Norris he did a good job but I think if he held him closer to his body and the crowd were quieter it might not have stressed him so much. Cats are terrified by loud noises.
@@chucknorris9667 They way he was holding & running with him only helped him to get bitten. He should have immobilized the cat first by. Holding the cat close to his chest with a firm hand around the back of its neck. To prevent it from moving about to much. & then used a quick/brisk walk rather than a run. This would have helped to calm the animal down greatly. If you run with a cat it panics but walking quickly doesn't cause it to do so.
It Was A Good Idea At The Time that doesn’t always work. It depends on the cat, the location (loud noises), the size of the person (can intimidate the cat), etc That was the only way to pick the cat up and quickly take it away, because it would not have gone willingly. There’s to much background noise. Not all cats are like yours m8
My thoughts exactly: I'd hold it more closely to me, even if that means I'm likely going to get claws in my shoulder, they won't flail like that, they'll just be scared in a different way, but more secure in that they won't fall.
I honestly couldn't hold back the laughter at how feisty the cat was towards this man trying to remove it from the field. The little cat was a fighter! 😸
Good news, the kitty's ok and so is the guy that grabbed him BTW. Thanks to the footage there were many wanting to adopt the little guy. LOL I love the grins on the babseball players' faces as they watched the kitten.
Alfredo Perez um. Mothers grab kittens by the neck to move them and it doesn't even hurt because they have loose skin in that area... The kitten was a little shocked but was fine. You must be fun at parties, writing essays to prove someone wrong on RU-vid
the cat was adorable. No surprise that he was upset - he had a place he was heading to and was prevented from doing so. Kudos to the guy for not getting angry and for not dropping the cat.
Stadiums NEED their feral cats. The cats keep down the mice and rats. Hungry ferals will even eat bugs for protein. A group of active ferals means the stadium admins don't have to spend money on exterminators.
That gross how human be always so mean to a Cat handle it so badly but if a dog they being nice y'all SHIT FULL OF SHIT. said cat are scary the fact that y'all handling cat so bad with bad intention too. im disgusted
@@Time_to_Stop_Animal_Abuse There was a huge fight over "custody" of the cat. Kitty has a home at this point. www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/31941729/secret-life-st-louis-cardinals-legend
+Alfredo Perez I'm sorry but you were pissed . You called the guy an idiot for not knowing how to pick up a cat. You might know everything about cats but not everyone does . Also , Do you expect him to spend 10 minutes trying to calm the cat down and slowly walk back? There's a game being stalled because of this. He cant really afford to do that .
That poor guy! Was that in his job description? LOL!! But he did great. And, great leap over that wall without missing a step!!! Cat was probably so scared. Hope it got to its owner or a shelter.👍🤗
He'll have a hell of a story to tell everyone about how he had to go get preventative rabies shots because he was stupid enough to pick up a wild cat with his bare hands.
Are you all completely daft?? That was gross cruelty to a defenceless kitten.the guy was being a complete knb hd and showing off like a gymkhana pony to the audience. I hope he got prosecuted for animal cruelty and should thing having re visited what he did he will be too ashamed to tell anyone.some poxy game is not worth the life of an innocent kitten.that poor wee mite will have been very unlikely to survive being carried and shake about like that.could have crushed ribcage and damaged organs .oh yes he's a hero - try picking on a rottweiler next time!!!
Between the Shoulder Blades, on an adult cat, you can get a BIG handful of skin, and the cat will curl up in a ball as if it was a kitten with Mama Cat carrying it. You want a small shake, to lock it in, and the cat won't scratch or bite. It's a reflex point! Pass that on to any and all Baseball Groundskeepers you can find! It'll save their hands, arms, and skin from cat defense. The butt curls up, the back legs curl up, the front legs stretch down, the tail tucks in, the head tucks to the side, and the whole cat relaxes. When you put the cat down, back paws first, please. Then the front paws. THEN release the scruff. This is how a Mama Cat sets her kittens down as well. Again, it's between the Shoulder Blades, and get as much skin and fur as possible. The more, the better. Yes, this works. I've done it many times on my younger sister's Tomcat. Go ahead, yell at me for hurting him, AFTER you verify with a veterinarian.
Mighty Cats. I visited a police station where nobody paid attention to me,while leaving I noticed a kitten on the desk of the officer surrounded by other police officers, I smiled at the majestic kitty n believe it or not all of them smiled dearly ,were ready to help(said please be seated).
He needed a thick blanket to pick up the kitten 🐈⬛ They get terrified when they hear loud noises and start scratching. Being bundled up (hidden) could have helped him feel safe 😇
This was a cute moment -- Before I even looked at the comments I KNEW the comments would be riddled with people bitching about the 'proper' way to carry / handle / pick up (et al) a cat. The guy did fine! In fact he did GREAT. He was out there quickly, hustled to the distraction/delay,.. didn't DROP and let the cat get away and did his job quite well. The cat wasn't hurt in any shape or form -- Only person with a few scratches was the person who picked the cat up. The hubris of the 'internet' knows no bounds.. ;)
The cat , since he bit that guy, was taken to animal control and euthanized. It's head was cut off so it could be sent to the state board of health to check it for rabies. Not a story that was put out there for the general public.
@@ToveC - then you have absolutely NO idea what really happens in the world. When a stray animal, or an animal that has not been vaccinated bites someone, either - if they're owned - are put into quarantine, or - if it's a stray - euthanized and the head is sent to test the brain for rabies. Happens all the time. Ask your local Animal Control.
