Rallying My GR Yaris with NEW UPGRADES! | SHMUSEUM VLOG 21

We had to do this with the Toyota GR Yaris! Firstly, it's a stop at ‪@EvolveAutomotive‬ for some upgrades including an Eventuri carbon fibre intake, Stern Performance Rear Seat Delete kit, and Samco Sport hoses for coolant and turbo, before we're going RALLYING...!
With ‪@Shmee150‬'s GR Yaris up on the ramps, there are a number of the modifications to complete simultaneously, making things more efficient including the removal of the rear seats and inclusion of the lovely carbon strut bar from Stern Performance. In the engine bay, all of the hoses are being upgrade to Samco's option in red, while the carbon intake from Eventuri is a huge (literally) upgrade from standard.
After we're finished at Evolve, the next stop is over to a field at ‪@TheShmuseum‬ to throw this little rally car around sideways and have some fun! All of which, it takes completely in its stride.

Well... It is something... Force = mass × acceleration... So acceleration = force/mass probably faster acceleration as power to weight ratio is better

The removed parts were 15kg but they did not weigh the parts they installed - that bar, net and boot mat all probably weighs at least 5kg. Overall a questionable 'upgrade'.

@@disrealnow9664 The kit weights 4 kg and you can choose if you want to have the carpet installed. You save at least 10 kg and it looks awesome.

With such a huge intake and much more free exhaust that car would heavily benefit from a tune, not just for more power but also so you aren't confusing the ECU with too much air or too little back pressure

Nope, the factory i take IS NOT a restriction in the first place. The guy at Motive in ozzy showe, on dynos that after market intake gained nothing conclusive. Their outcome had them suggest until you qent with a bigger turbo, the fa tory stuff does the job. Their car was full exhaust and intercooler upgrade also, and still the factory intake cost them nothing AND they have a video explaining why.

The exhaust and the air intake won’t add much at all, unless the stock items were super restrictive, and even then it won’t be anywhere near 15 bhp or whatever is claimed. This has been proven again and again with independent tests on dynos.

PS again.. Try approach from Left & Right side of the post to build ambidextrous skills. Growing up on a farm I used a small tree growing inda middle of the paddock to practice with.. LoL trouble with that is the damage one inflicts on the car if you stuff it up!..heh heh😁 A fence post is better option.
