Definitely it's sad that people sometimes only recognize him as Voldemort, he has done many great things and he is someone who disappears into any role he plays but hey maybe Voldemort wouldn't have been that iconic without Ralph Fiennes. Just a small note you should see the duchess, it's one of hid most underrated performances

People will always remember an actor for a particular role. I don't find it annoying that people mostly remember him as Voldemort because it was the best acting from all the Harry Potter films although personally I will always remember him as Amon Goeth.

Because, even if it sounds strange, he is uncomfortable in such shows. Because he is not an extrovert even if he is a brilliant actor. Notice the mixture of confidence (legs wide apart) and intimidation (constant blinking). He is an amazing personality all together.

Grand Budapest Hotel did have a stellar cast but Fiennes carried the whole movie all by himself. Without him the flick could have been nothing more than a mishmash of cartoon characters against colorful background. He should have been nominated to the Oscar that year
