Ummm you must have been a kid in the 90s cus there Wes as much war ,famine and danger as there is today in 2024. Only young folks remember the 90s as "the most peaceful era"
It's crazy how loyal he was to all the NE guys. He would fall before he let one of them fall. He even did the first verse and background vocals for Every little step because Bobby was to high to finish recording. They weren't gonna release don't be cruel, but Ralph finished it for him. 💯💯💯
He got the credit he earned . A terrible solo act , weak voice and subpar performer - after 13 years this song has only amassed 6 million views …yall WISH Ralph was a superstar but he was truthfully very bland and blah and the FACTS (sales , spins , charts) all say the same.
@@thetruthandnothingbutthetr6484 lol again you coming on his page taking time out of your day to say it so you must be a fan it’s okay though I am too 🥰
@@amarismcclure2991 can you find a kid who can teach you how the internet works , specifically RU-vid ? Because you seem to think you can control when and where I can comment - dumbass
To me, Ralph was the 'triple threat' of the group. He should have went into acting too. He wasn't as aggressive as the others, but to me he was the most gifted. Love this song!
@@dertoyer21 he did rap as good and his sex appeal was natural he could add the smooth sexiness then he be equally raunchy when he needed to especially when he performed songs like g spot who's the mack sex -o Bobby's sex appeal was more in your face and bolder .
Respect to the whole new edition crew. Ralph, Bobby, Michael, Ricky, Ronnie & Johnny. Big shout to Ralph for stepping in and helping Bobby sing, Every little Step when he needed help with his fantastic album. Good brothers who love each other. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
It's funny if you've seen the video soul interview Bobby says how he wishes he was in the can you stand the rain video and Ralph was like "you wish you were in everyone's video Bob" and Bobby was like "I do I'm gonna be in your video dancing in the background" and he was lol
Talk about TRUE BROTHERLY LOVE! ❤️ Bobby was at the height of his career (7x Platinum), yet he shows up to be a "BACKGROUND" dancer for Ralph (not there to sing a note). How humble of him. 😊 This is the Bobby I don't ever want to forget.
Humble? Ralph on BET made fun of the fact that Bobby always wants to dance in other people's videos, and Bobby replied that he will dance in Ralph video next. Ralph next video was this one, lol.
@@dragonsofeden That wasn't "making fun", that was just good-natured brotherly teasing. It ain't a problem for him that Bobby wanted to dance in the video
This is why I love these guys. NE represents brothers. I love Bobby! I love Ralph 💘 NE is my favorite musical group! Thank you for the upload! This video is still a breath of fresh air!
@@jeanetteterry9386 I know I love that about them they went through hard times and still came back together I thought it was so sweet how they honored him on the black music honors show.
Great singer, great dancer, quiet, shy and handsome! Smooth and silky vocals, fluid moves, beautiful eyes, beautiful body... Ralph is lovely and captivating😍
This handsome man is still fly and he still brings it every single time. He never lets the fans down. Great Energy, Great Person and so humble. God pour all of his blessings on him and give him everything he deserves, He most surely deserves it and has earned it.
He did with NE but when bobby left he was left out to dry and when BBD was formed he definitelt was stuck. I was saying the same thing that I think Ralph was angry at the group for breaking up because it messed with his career.
My man B-Brown showed up to dance in the vid. Proving that they're brothers, regardless of the drama. And Jermaine Dupree sampled that piece at 4:38 in his cut, 'Welcome to Atlanta'. You can see the genius of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis all over this cut. I just need it in instrumental.....cause it's hard like that.
I’m 13 and I love this song because of my mom and grandma. They always said I have a old soul and now I know what they mean the 90s really looked like a great time to be born.
It's so obvious that Ralph and Bobby have a strong brotherhood between them. I love seeing that. Even though Ralph and Ricky were best friends growing up, Bobby replaced Ricky in Ralph's life as that ride or die best friend.
Not BuyingIt that is true, but he was ask to go solo from the very beginning in there early prime. But Tresvant decided to stay loyal , while Bobby ended up leaving anyways . Look at what Bobby became going solo. Even Bobby himself said on the tension interview back in day that he thought Tresvant should have went solo . Only problem with Tresvant was that he didn't have the charisma as he was a little shy, but he did have the look . Bobby stage presence was very unique at the time .
olivier toussaint I agree. But New Edition, as a collective made all of them. They all brought something unique to the table. Basically, it's a story worth telling, because they all made their own mark. But the NE tag, elevated all of them.
olivier toussaint been a loyal life long fan. From being a teenager who found his modern day motown music, from parents who played the old 50-60s Motown at dinner and family gatherings. Luckily with their resurgence, my young nieces and nephews are finding and liking old beats... Likable. Traditions passed down. For that I thank all 6 men of New Edition.

Ralph you don't realize what you meant to so many of us and how badly the presence of a MAN like you is really needed in music today. These newcomers and vets actually claim/debate over social media that they're the King of R&B. Thank you for your class, elegance, talent, and sensitivity. Forever The Gentleman!👏👏
These guys were my era and I remember this like it was yesterday. The younger generation doesn’t realize how big Bobby and Ralph were back in the 80’s and 90’s. Without groups like them there wouldn’t be a Chris Brown or Usher. They paved the way for many…miss those days! 🙏🏽❤️👍🏽
Man that chord progression in the chorus is SO distinct and SO addictive! Quite possibly my favourite new jack swing track - though there's far too many phenomenal candidates to choose from! Pure soulful sensuality.
@@branfordmonticello853 as a new edition fan I bought that album - it was trash . The sales also reflect it was trash and bought mostly by new edition fans. The lack of the ability to headline a tour also shows it was trash . Unlike you i don’t bring emotions into assessments…I’m able to like a person and still retain honesty.
Ralph is fine as wine ooh wee. His voice is like honey and his moves are so smooth. I LOVE the aesthetic of this video and the message ❤ I wish more men could express themselves like this now.
bobby did backup bcus thats his brother/friend , And if ralph helped bob before great it seems to be their relationship, So in other words fuck ur fun fact
Annie Lee everyone heard the story but people throw in there own remix. one not one person said he was getting high. not one,he was 19. At that age he could get high and work. more importantly if you know Bobby's voice he's clearly on EVERY VERSE! what they said was they blended their voices which I get. Ralph's voice like Bobby's is distinctive if he sang lead on any verse it would be no secret! and like the person who checked you said they were Bros for real. bobby could've got a studio singer for background vocals and Ralph could've got anyone to background dance. The movie had certain inaccuracies, one ralph didn't want bobby kicked out. and two bobby was wayyyyyyy bigger than new edition. he one every award. AMA,billboard, soul train, best Dance! Lastly his second album flopped. La Reid just did an article saying bobby crushed them twice and walked away.
Ralph sure was one handsome man my goodness! I remember crushing on him but at the time I was way too young for him..but now I'm 36yrs old so no longer too young for him lollll Urghhh he is married again knew a man that fine can't stay single for long.
I love that Bobby still came in and showed his bro love on this video! Despite all of the circumstances! And listen to the lyrics of this song, how many RnB singers would make themselves appear vulnerable on record? Nowadays they have a certain "toughness" to uphold
Ralph was/is my finest artiste of all time. His level of responsibility, selflessness is a lot to emulate. Mr New Edition. Really sad he didn’t have more hit songs. Thought he’d be the next MJ. Had a voice texture easily recognizable and unique.
Am I the only feeling that this era of R&B was and still the best as at now? ❤❤❤. Real soul R&B! God they produced the best sounds as at now. I feel like 16 years!!
Happy Birthday to Ralph Tresvant just turn 52 today Happy 52nd Birthday Ralph at age 52 next year 53 follow by 54 in 2022 but celebrating his birthday during COVID-19 Coronavirus But Ralph Tresvant celebrates his 52nd Birthday in Roxbury, Boston, Massachusetts USA Tho Ralph Tresvant born on May 16, 1968 in Roxbury, Boston, Massachusetts USA
This is almost too much. I only found this version yesterday! Nearly 8 minutes of Ralph Tresvant at his prime and sexiest singing one of my all-time favorites and dancing with Bobby Brown at the end! If I had been old enough back then I would've stalked him!
I love the fact that Ralph & Bobby still remained friends & they all grew up together. It's cool Ralph included Bobby in some of his videos ..like this one . Bobby look like he's having so much fun here. This remix 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Swear I never saw this version after all these years. Such a surprise seeing Bobby come thru as a backup dancer for Ralph. Always loved how they stayed friends even after he left N.E. They were sooo cute in this video. Those were the days. Miss the 90's. 😔
