Stalhbus oil drain fitting is a nice low profile one if concerned about it getting knocked off. Having that extra long drain piece on there will work as leverage if it ever gets hit against something and the stalhbus can't just be drained by somebody coming up and hitting the fitting
I use to work for Komatsu and they had it on everything during the time I worked there. That came straight off the assembly line. So, I decided to give it a try; never looked back after that. lol
Glad to see another post. I am on the 3rd year with my 2013 Ram 2500, my first diesel, and learned how to care for it from your videos. I put the easy drsin from Geno's two changes ago and quit making a mess because the oil came out to fast for my pan. 150,700 on mine now, 33,000 of that towing our 5th wheel. Thanks, Marion
I installed one last year. It does make the oil change easier and less messy. Slowing down the flow prevents the splash that occurs when pulling the plug. Good product 👍
So good to hear from, Marion. You and I are very close to the same age and anything that simplifies our lives has got to be a good thing. I do not know that I will be doing this modification, at least not now. I have used your plan to make that third hand device and the modification to the wheel well. I also agree with you on using Ram filters vs cheap imitations. Hope all is well with you and that you start doing more videos in the future.
Marion, good morning. Now that you have installed and used it, and it gets your approval, i will install mine on my next oil change. I bought my drain about a year after i bought my 2010 3500 diesel. Great seeing you, and another great video. Adios
Hi Marion, I really like it!...is very useful, and as you said, the oil pan is high enough to not worry about, specially if not doing hard offroad with the truck. Last time I changed oil on my 2013 2500 SLT, for some unknown reason the oil level end above the dipstick max level, so I was thinking to pour some oil out...but was a little reluctant to do it due to the mess will have with the OE plug...this one will be the solution!. Thank you!
I never have understood the oil pan design on our trucks. There must be a cup of old oil left in there every time. I have been meaning to make the filter holder plate thing, I just haven’t gotten around to it. 😂
I’ve had a fenco ? From Gino since 2016 It doesn’t hang down at all A hose that connects to it actually releases the oil through the drain tube into an old def container. Guess I need to make a RU-vid?
I have one on a 2wd we do off road quite a bit.. just gotta be looking for tall rocks and not in the center of the truck.. I-10 is a lot like off road.. gotta love texas roads.. the governor should do more tax cuts so there is NO money to repair the crap roads.
had one rip out of my 2500. wont be doing that again. if our pans didnt sit so low i wouldnt mind it. ive had them on all of my other vehicles but WONT put it on my 2014 2500
@@MarionBlairlol it’s just too exposed on these trucks and our Louisiana roads are always an adventure. I also spend entirely too much time off road to trust them anymore.
