I have an afterglow with psychedelics when I use in moderation… Acid 1-4x a year. Shrooms once every full moon or every other. MDMA once or twice every 1-2 years (be very careful with MDMA). DMT and Ayahuasca should only be used for ceremonial purposes and you should have a shaman or guide at all times. All other psychedelic experiences should also be monitored. Intentions need to be set. Set and setting are crucial. These are not recreational drugs to be taken lightly. They must be treated with respect and used intentionally. I too have abused in the past and it looses it’s benefits. This goes with anything in life. “Anything taken beyond necessary becomes poison. This can be sex, food, drugs, tv, information, etc.” Stay away from witches.

How do you get to that point where you’re so disaffected, disconnected from the high that you reject it and just be with what is? I think it has to be physiological as I found that when I was younger it was easier to reject those forms of escape.
