Thanks for your inspiration! I followed your hunch, and only cut out the top piece. Didn't touch the bottom at all. The Dremel only melted stuff. I pulled out the oscillating tool, and Bam! I was done in 10 minutes. I didn't have to re work anything. Fit like a glove! Original screws went into place. FYI 1998 Ram 2500 Cummins. Thanks again!

The laughing after every sentence reminded me of a radio DJ or cheap car salesman.

You mean like this: "Tell me what I have to do to get you to tune in to Part 31? You were made for Part 31! How about I give the comment a thumbs up? No? Listen...if you don't want Part 31, it is fine. I've got 10 people a day walking in wanting Part 31. Are you going to buy the car or not? You know what...never mind. It just sold. Have a great day not having Part 31. I thought we were friends, Scott. By the way, tell your wife I said the steaks were over cooked." Fwiw I get the DJ line a lot, lol.

Those Harbor Freight cutoff discs are meant for metal. As you noted they melt the plastic and it folds back together before cooling. For plastic, I have always used a stainless circular 1-1.5" saw blade. They seem to cut and leave the malty part in a clump at the edge of the cut...

Where’d you buy the dash bro? I’ve been looking everywhere for a new tan one. Mines busted up. Can’t even clip the bezel into anything

I wonder is this video about your lmc bezel or a stereo install😅

Here's my plan. I'm cutting away most of that sub dashboard that you cut. My goal is to go to TAP Plastics and buy a black plastic sheet that about matches the dashboard color. Then mount a switchboard and radio, maybe a little lower than the board and install it. Black apply and such and try to make it look OEM.

Just a heads up you do need to cut out the bottom for it is also venting. I burnt out 2 radios in 6 months Couldn't figure out why. And also when you cut the top you're bringing more heat to the radio from the vent the top is kind of a buffer. Now I'm on my 3rd radio and this 1 lasted 4 years. I love the work you do I like how you get into detail also. The only issue is that you talk a little bit too much you probably could have gotten this done within 20 minutes on a video. Please don't take this personal I am not trying to be negative. You do do good work. But I think you should be a radio host😊LOI Thanks

I have the same exact truck as you. It's really not that bad. The way he talks and makes it seem like it's hard to do he drags everything so far out and then comes back in. If you Are a little handy you'll be fine. Also hysterio is actually kind of larger than what it supposed to be It's got that extra l Lip on the top of The stereo that he is installing. Good luck

If you would just keep the talking to a minimum and do the work this would be a great video
