Still got mine. Ordered February 2021 picked up June 2021 it’s been a great 28,000 miles so far. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned hands down. I don’t think I can ever own another truck and I’ve always had trucks because cars are too small for me. Being 6’5” and 270 pounds I always liked sports cars but drove trucks for comfort. The TRX spoiled me and other trucks seem slow to me now. Hopefully they stick around awhile and I’ll purchase a newer one eventually. Keep up the good videos man, I’ve been watching your channel about 2 years now.
Heck yea bro!! I totally agree it’s a hell of a truck and I don’t think I can go to any other after this one. I appreciate your support as well brother! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I just bought mine last week, and I love it, the kids loved it, I followed the break in to the letter, towed my boat fantastically! Then literally broke with less than 1,000 miles lol
No the engine and transmission are actually solid as a rock, my steering is just out of alignment which is weird with under 1k miles, otherwise it's perfect, goes into the shop Thursday, fingers crossed its nothing serious
Can't wait to get one, might be a few years, but once I pay off my 2019 and get my new job soon, I'll be making more money than I ever have and will get one!
2 of my neighbors have TRX's. My father-in-law just got a 2023 RAM 2500 Limited. ..let me tell you that the 2500 made me a believer! It's more comfortable than my wife's Mercedes..she told me I need to get a TRX before xmas since I like loud, fast and don't tolerate Massholes..bonus that she thinks I look good in a truck (I drive a 2022 Taco Limited Nightshade)..this video was awesome!
I just hit 1 year ownership in my T-Rex, 22K miles. Still love it, black, level 2 , no moon roof, I put my own side steps on. I got mine in March 2022, and the prices have gone up 20K since then. Glad I bought it when I did… 🤣
i have level 1, it does come with paint matched door handles. thought i’d miss the passive entry, but to me its another layer of security so i dont mind not having it.. same boat as you, its my favorite truck i’ve owned.. kudos!
Great review! I got a 2022 level 2 six months ago. Great truck. My only issue is the massive width after driving a Tacoma since 2005. I'd do the door handles if you're going to keep it for a while.
Have watched your TRX videos since early on. I got one in 22 myself. Do your wife a favor and do the mopar power steps. It is a breeze to get in and out and it doesn’t detract from the look. Loving mine still after a year and about 10k miles. No plans on selling.
That’s awesome! Congrats on the truck & thanks for the support!! I think I am gonna pull the trigger on the Mopar steps pretty soon. They have been on my to do list for a minuet lol
As a 2022 TRX owner with a hand full of upgrades, the side rails are a godsend for the wife, best add-on according to her.. 😉 Truck drives like a dream to me, beautiful inside and out. Yeah the gas mileage is a drag but one who buys this beast has already excepted that.. My only gripe, oil life. Per the manufacturer manual it’s every 6k miles, app pinged me it was low and the dipstick confirmed at 3k+ miles..?? Just had the oil changed and that ain’t cheap.. hoping it was due to cheap oil the manufacturer put in, cause changing the oil every 3k miles will suck.. any other owners have this same experience?
Hey, bro, truck looks great after two years. I would do the proximity handles, well worth it. I have them and rarely go for the unlock on the fob. As for the plastic trim, on my TRX with the black metallic like yours, I coat the trim in carpro perl and it adds a nice matte, glean to the plastic and helps it blend in a bit. A positive to that as well is it will be offering protection against further fading. Best of luck!
are you refering to your rebel having a super charger or TRX? If you do have a super charger in it would like to know how does it feel and was it worth it?
Best truck I have ever had put over 20,000 miles and $50k in upgrades. New zen carbon fiber steering wheel goes on at the end of may at which point it will be completely done with her
Thanks for the video. Do you have IGLA or Ravelco installed (anti-theft)? Is your truck garage kept? I am in Orlando and have a white, level 2, TRX on order. It won't fit in my garage so leaning towards Ravelco.
I’m a fan of the IGLA system. Being in Orlando I would deff invest in some good protection. I had some sketchy situations with cars when I lived up there. There is a shop called Gearhead Fabrication they are about 2hrs south of Orlando and are a IGLA installer
Wimya, I have a point of view I'd like to share based of the following: do not replace the door handles or paint the fenders! You are one of a very select few who own a base TRX! Kept it a base TRX because you will not be able to sniff at the price of these in 20 years. They don't even exist in 2023 let alone 2022! Literally a unique vehicle you can't buy anymore! Keep it simple and clean. Also, keep your $2,1k.... it's a fraud what they are asking for (maybe $600 tops) and a waste of money if you do it. This is one guy's opinion to a fellow TRX owner. Keep it as is... maybe revert all the parts to stock like wheels, etc. and it will pay cold hard cash dividends when you look to retire.
I’ve had a lot of black cats but this black that FCA/Stellantis uses is by far my fav black. I’ve had it on 2 Rams, an Alfa Romeo, & Maserati. I would say having the car paint corrected/clay bar would be worth the money. I personally wouldn’t ppf
I was about to buy a used one, but afraid that they are all beat to hell and back. Seems a lot of people have their fun - then trade them in at 20k-40k miles. Anyone else think the same thing?
If you’re buying a used one more than likely the person prior paid a premium for it & used it for a daily. Once they realized it’s a gas guzzler they traded them in & onto the next new thing. But that’s just my opinion.
Any thoughts on comparisons between ram 1500 limited with air suspension and TRX? Like is the mpg and ride with air suspension worth giving up supercharger?
I had a Rebel with air ride before the TRX. It was lifted on 35. I had a ton of issues with the air suspension and after throwing the bigger tires on it the fuel economy wasn’t all that much of a difference. 14mpg Rebel vs 10mpg TRX.
If you’re watching a 2 year review that means I obviously got it during the middle of the pandemic when everything had major delays. Base models had no delays. I got an extremely early truck. So while you were waiting for your tampon warmer & other bullshit you get in those packages I was enjoying my truck.
