1000$ is not a bad price if it comes with an inspection. But 2015 wing with no inspection is not worth more than 500$ imho. I'd consider it a kiting wing until the inspection comes back. I'd recommend the buyer holds the payment in an escrow account until it's inspected. I've seen newer wings fail lines, trim, tear test, etc. Not saying it's bad or trash talking the wing I'm just trying to emphasize how important an inspection is on a used wing. This is coming from a guy who has had a used glider fail in flight and its not fun, an inspection would have saved me from destroying a paramotor and wasting money on something that could have been much better money spent. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as you guys did.🤘🍻

Totally agree with you. A wing should be inspected every two years anyway. Without inspection it is not airworthy and should not be sold as such.

What brand were you flying when your glider failed? I trained on a 2006 Nervures Estive which still passes inspection to this day!

@Julien Morrissette an 18.5m apco NRG mfg date 2016. Had a stabilo line fail. Span went slack on one half and spun me into the ground. Luckily I was only about 25' off the ground when it happened.

@12vibaba I understand the 200 hour/2 year rule or a wing's own specific inspection criteria. I didn't claim it was airworthy therefore I'm not selling it "as such". I "recommended" an inspection, and I flew it and would continue to do so. I typically fly my wings well past inspection and that's my risk tolerance. It is up to the buyer to determine their risk level. While it may seem old, it hasn't been flown tons by Alayna like I fly my other wings and it has always been stored in a good environment. My 2019 Gin Falcon needs an inspection more than this wing.
