Great to see you out for a paddle mate. Looking forward to seeing the new bits of gear you mentioned. I've also had a monumentally long (but not unexpected) wait for a new item which I've just heard is close to being shipped soon! Thanks for sharing your updates.
I stumbled across your channel a couple of weeks ago and have been really enjoying your videos! So as a video request I would love to hear your advice on getting into canyoning. For instance things like; safer canyons in the area to start off in, priorities to invest in when gathering kit, money traps to avoid (at least for when starting), skills somebody should have under their belt before they even think about canyoning and what not to do in canyoning that may not be immediately obvious. Regardless keep up the adventuring - I'm looking forward to future content Cheers!
@@Gremlin4498 it’s an amazing way to see nature, hard to beat. Iv written some of the script up and will start production on my next set of days off from work. Thanks again for the idea
Cool transitions Jake. And yep... who didn't splurge on new gear this year 😆. Great to see you back out paddling again too! Thanks for the thoughts on the action 2 as well.. I love dji cameras, but was never really attracted to that one. Why the heck did gopro get rid of "gopro turn on"??? How bloody annoying for us paddlers!
hahaha I know right Have you brought anything new recently? I know right! I still can't figure out why they did it, I am so annoyed! It was so handy for paddling!
@@JakeMarcin the biggest purchase I've made since returning from my trip is the 3-season version of my Taiji tent.. the 4-season is just a tad too claustrophobic in summer. I've certainly replaced a couple of things too - I had to buy a new sleeping mat while I was on the river, and a 120L dry duffel bag ... the old one was getting a few too many holes in it. on the rader is some new UL gear for hiking though - I'm thinking of tackling a good chunk of the Heysen next winter, so will probably get a Zpacks Duplex tent, and I'm going to see if I can get my S2S basecamp II down sleeping bag converted into a quilt by Remote Repairs - I could attempt it myself, but I don't want fluffy bits of down all over my house, lol. I'm also going to sell off some of my unused gear... the old gear cupboard is bursting at the seams a bit now, haha! Hopefully Gopro get lots of complaints and add that voice control back in - I'm sure it's just a software change.
@@AmyOutdoors some really awesome choices there! Always good to sell old gear, it’s nice to think it’s getting a new lease in life with its new owner rather then sitting in the gear cupboard. Can’t wait to see those new videos!
@@JakeMarcin I have sold the V7 to a friend as the weight of 24kg is a little too uncomfortable for me to handle alone. I have looked at V6 but decided to custom make a skin to frame kayak in Norway, weighing 12kg is much more manageable. Cant wait. I still missed the V7 but will borrow from my friend occassionaly. Cheers
