Love this. I saw them in 72 in Chapel Hill do this. Allman Bros. Live at Filmore East is one of the greatest live albums of that Era. Nice work on the twin lead guitars. Did yall know there is an Allman Bros. Museum in Macon. Worth a visit. I dare you to trying Whipping Post. BW3

Damn! Just loved it. This is one song where you guys could really let yourself go a bit to let loose and improvise on those Dickey Betts guitar parts and the drums as well. Dickeys signature style is absolutely unique but not hard to internalize and imitate. There's a looseness and flow in his singular playing style that is most evident in this of all Allman Brothers songs that could let you fly forever. In 50 years I've seen the Allman Bros more than a few times and even when they played this song for what seemed like hours no one ever got tired of it. The audiences always wanted more. This is one song where you don't need to be a perfect replay This is a song where you guys could ditch the program and the shackles to go off road and improvise forever. You don't have to be a perfect reproduction of everything you play and this song lends itself to some freeform funkafide fun more than most I've heard you play. You guys obviously have the chops for it. You should try it. You know damn well you can do it. I'll bet a weeks pay every listener here would just love it and you guys would love it even more. I sure as hell would.

This was one of those songs where the drums don’t sound all that difficult or interesting but keeping up all those constant doubles at that pace for that long is tough!
