Sort of tutorial thing. Nothing really specific covered.

This is hands down one of the best complextro tutorials out there. I'd definitely like to see more of these if you have time to go into specifics. Big fan of your music as well. Keep up the great work!

Dude this tutorial literally led me to make one of my best songs to date, by following the fundamentals and basics you outlined so well, I made some (in my opinion) fuckin sick music. Thank you. Also love love love your remix of Polygon, thanks for making music. ~much appreciation

Mate, excellent vid. Broken down your approach very well, and that dissonant minor + 2nd chord is something i just would not have thought of. Big fan. You should have more subs. Would love to collab.

Just some pedanticism regarding the dissonant chords: scale notes are not the same as harmonics, so when you add that cool 2nd to your chords you aren't adding "the second harmonic". I did love the tip though, it's really nice voicing for a +9 that I would never have even considered. Thanks!

Super useful mate. Practical advice given in an authentic way & totally agree re: producer snobs. If it sounds good, you don't need to write a thesis about it. Just release it! Oh, and nice to meet a fellow northerner. I'm from Blackpool originally but now in California.

Why do i feel like not being able to pick the right synths all the time? I mean every good prdouced music has such perfectly balanced instruments in all frequencies and when i try to get something started it kinda fails. Is it some basic knowledge that im missing or is it just the practice i need???

Fantastic tutorial. I normally make down tempo 80s inspired synthwave, but I happened across this tutorial on reddit this morning and ended up making this. instagram.com/p/BXGvFjalFhH/?taken-by=professor_daytime

Nice torrented VES2 samples
@DeadPossSociety
@DeadPossSociety 7 лет назад
i mean i'd love to support the company but: 1- i'm broke 2- they outright steal samples from producers and then sell them
@mintagenart
@mintagenart 6 лет назад
Besides the points by Foxhunt, the prices sometimes are just too damn expensive for what you get. A lot of the time you don't even know what you get until you buy them. They don't show samples individually and they may say "5,400 samples!" When only 10 of them can be slightly useful to you. You can edit those sounds (or leave them as they are since most of the sounds I've heard sound similar enough) and no one will no nothing. I'm trying to avoid torrenting anything and don't support torrents, but really! 400 dollars for 5,400 samples I'd never use?
@IOIO6
@IOIO6 6 лет назад
Just wanted to add that your 2- is not true as some of them were ghost producers for many big names (most of them till 2013) so if, it just seems to be sampled but was their creation - e.g. stuff from Cascada - you should know her you`re from UK. But as there are also different ppl working with the company, there were also some of them who sampled. But as I said overall most of it is their own work

hey bud if you don't pay for your plugins then why should people pay for your music?
@DeadPossSociety
@DeadPossSociety 7 лет назад
If i could afford everything I used i would, and i am working along my way to paying off all the software I use. twitter.com/LD_Sylenth1/status/656917147621396480
@DeadPossSociety
@DeadPossSociety 7 лет назад
+ also i don't believe everyone _should_ pay for my music, instead i give the option to support me as that's the only way i'm ever going to afford all the production gear. Hence, all of my content is available for streaming.
@brandoncarey541

If you make ANY amount of money off the music that you've made using stolen software you can be sued for royalties and/or the rights to your music. Take Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve Pipe as a loose example. They originally were only going to sample 6 notes for the string intro but when they sampled more than the agreed upon amount they were completely stripped of their composer credits - they don't make a single dime every time that song plays on the radio.
@Caved_Johnson
@Caved_Johnson 6 лет назад
If softwares could make music on their own maybe. But for now we need artists to make them valuable hence why it's normal for him to ask for some money -> You pay for work and sounds not for vsts.
