Here's Raphaël Feuillâtre performing "Les Sauvages" from Jean-Philippe Rameau's "Nouvelles Suites de Pièces de Clavecin" on a lovely 2020 Dietmar Heubner classical guitar made with spruce top and African rosewood back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

Oh my goodness. A true heir to Yamashita - so much his own person, so much existing for the music, expanding the possibilities of guitar, of music. Transcritions that transcend all instruments. Musician as instrument of the human soul.

Wonderfully played! Might have preferred it a bit slower, but the phrasing, separation of voices and ornamentation are fantastic. Wouldn't have thought this transcription could have worked so well. Great job!

The transcription by Michel Grizard was published by L'empreinte mélodique. The edition contains two other pieces by Rameau as well: Les tendres plaintes (which Raphaël Feuillâtre also plays) and L'entretien des muses. Unfortunately, I can't find the transcription of Le rappel des oiseaux.
