Wait, as a server this place is amazing too, no need to interact with customer's, you don't have to deal with taking order's yourself and you barely have to move to get the order's out to Table's! Jesus forget eating here(I would) i'd work here too. Like this removes so many of the things about working in Food Service that sucks.
No just good in general, think about it, usually having to run around table to table around a huge restaurant, dealing with all these different kinds of people. Just being able to cook in that same spot then just give it to someone then go work on something else will let you get WAY MORE DONE! Even though I can be introverted or extroverted I’d definitely work here!!
This. So much this. I don't mind walking and serving all day. What bothers me most is human interactions and all the Karen's. This removes almost all of it!
HLTY Gio introvert: a person that does not enjoy social things and would rather stay alone. Doesn’t necessarily mean they are anti social. Extrovert: the opposite, a person that enjoys social events and would rather to go out and not stay alone. Ambivert: a mix of both
When they clarified that it was cold water, I laughed at myself because I had subconsciously expected it to be hot water. I don’t know why, maybe because it’s a ramen place.
You kinda don't gotta socialize with waiters and waitresses either.. 😅 It honestly depends where you go though. I know some restaurants force staff to socialize, insult, etc.
You are probably the first person I've watched doing one of these that actually tells us what the eff chashu IS without just assuming everyone watching knows..Thank you for this, dearly. Coming from America, a lot of times pork ramen (at least where I live in the US) doesn't necessarily always have pork coming with it (occasionally beef or chicken, or sometimes they let you choose which). So, while it might seem obvious it should be pork with the pork ramen, it isn't necessarily what everyone will automatically know because of things like that. It's also nice to get a step-by-step for if you ever get to visit the place on what to expect PRIOR to the meal and what it's like rather than just "Here's the food, it was good, it tasted like this". :D
Aging population means fewer and fewer young workers are available to serve the growing population of old people who need service. Coupled with Japanese engineering and innovation means the most vending machines in the world.
@@majin2967 its nice yes, no doubt about that.. but just sometimes people needs time where they can be alone.. People have to realize some people enjoy this kind of service not just for the food alone but also the time spend on it. This place.. this experience.. you are in a place where nobody can judge, no one care, no one's looking, and you don't have to feel scared for society around you.. just you, the meal in front of you, and full on bliss sensation of service.. if that's not a great way to relive stress than shouldn't people there just came to a regular ramen restaurant, with their friends and family? Why the need to go or even be there when the difference is only the experience?
It's interesting how they still do all the formalities for serving despite the fact they wouldn't need to with the privacy set up they have at this place. Guess you can't change tradition?
Good grief this looks amazing. So much food for that amount of money too, and the added bonus of not having the awkward exchanges with your waiter? Even better.
Is that Ichirran? If yes, then that is sooooo gooooood! I love the ambience and the quality of the food is GOOD. My fav ramen restaurant in Japan!! You just reminded me to go back to Japan lol
i went there a couple of times living in Tokyo. Really good place. Now im drooling back in my own country though...... Also the trick with eggs.... dont use your nails, use yout thumbs soft part to peel. No risk of getting the nails to dig into the eggs and ruining the moment.
Went to the Ichiran in Osaka, right around the corner from Dotonbori. It was the pork free one and I don’t know how you did extra rich broth. Hard to drink just regular broth but it was delicious.. I can’t wait until my next trip back!
Hey i know this is random after 11 months but do you know if Ichiran sells different flavors other than pork broth in their restaurants too or do they just sell pork broth ?
He doesn't seem to be even speaking to the staff at all. I don't want to sound rude, but that sounds so nice. Is that how it works in this restaurant I wonder, or is just for video? I don't want to be rude to anybody, but at the same time it could be a cultural thing I don't yet understand
Already learnt this from Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san. That anime was the best for learning about ramen. Had my mouth watering while watching the entire anime.
I have in 2018 eaten there, i will never forget that. And i cry for more, i hope 2022 Will life and travelling go back to Normal. I miss japan..........its heartbreaking for me. Greetings from Germany.
Got lucky and had one of these places 2 blocks down from my hotel in NYC out of my 3 days their I gotta say I went their every day such a great experience.
This is a very good restaurant The feeling that you’re eating a Ramen in the small room alone and private The very good looking and delicious Ramen 🍜 And the design of the restaurant I really like it if Covid is gone one day I will go there
When I went to Japan at 2016 I went to Shibuya early. Apparently 7am was a little too early forost of Shibuya. I stumbled across Ichiran there cause it was open 24 hours and I was interested in a restaurant that had only 1 item in the menu. I found it was delicious. Later that night I was chatting with my family overseas and they told me that Ichiran was actually famous and was even on those Holiday shows that day.
Hi I'm new to your videos and so far I want to say that your content is very wholesome, delicious and interesting but where are you filming your videos at? You dont have to answer if you dont want to but I'm just a curious soul
I am just jealous that she or he gets to eat a big yummy bowl of ramen. I never ate a ramen that big before lucky. I wanna go there but it’s probably really crowded and expensive
I'm Japanese and telling you this place is cool and the tastes are so good. The price isn't that super high so if any of you going to Japan one day you should try here.
I want to go too, but the problem is that I have no idea how to speak Japanese, and how I can travel, I am so fond of traveling and how much people will be fond of going out. Going to Japan, Korea, but I can't go through the language, like me
@@Darthcater450 why is everyone always jumps to conclusion of someone being offended? are you projecting or something? yeah we can try but who said they didnt?
Watching this in December: "Individual booths so I don't have to sit next to someone. Cool!" Watching this now: "This could be our lives if we don't get a handle on things. Cool!"
@@generaljaz2446 He literally spread lies about it being false news, mocked people who wore masks/took it seriously, and openly bragged about not following regulations himself. His supporters are idiots who listen to everything he said, and he largely contributed to the spread of covid
it was a nice movie though i wonder why there's loads of people just eating and shoving a variety of very good food through their mouths without enjoying the hard work the cook has gone through to make it
Yeah, everyone here is like: "I don't go alone into a restaurant, I will look stupid and lonely." And in Japan? Perfectly normal. I love those single seats. It's clear what the restaurant tries to say. You are welcome, even if you come alone.
