This was at Ramli Sarip's concert and Jamal Abdillah was his guest artist. Yes, their singing style we called it as "Malay's lenggok" and it has similar Arabic vibes. U can see when Jamal Abdillah entered to the stage, he kissed Ramli Sarip's hand to show his respect to the eldest. That is Malay's good attitude kinda respect from younger to the eldest. At the last song, Ramli Sarip show his gratitude by saying "terima kasih Jamal Abdillah" or "thank you Jamal Abdillah" and im sure both of u can hear it as well. Thanx for reacting this video...
For your information, Jamal Abdillah, during the concert, is still suffering from drug addiction. He in the process of recovery in that time (he's clean and healthy now, thank God). Yet, he still delivered an outstanding performance, alongside with the Father of Malaysia's Rock himself. That is how awesome Jamal is. He's one in a million...
Hey guys! Love your videos. The wailing is actually called Qasidah, evident in Arabic songs. This song has a strong middle eastern influence, hence. Lenggok/Cengkok are runs that are used in Malay traditional songs - vocal ornaments added to such pieces. Siti Nurhaliza is a perfect example of a singer who’d combine both Lenggok and Qasidah especially when she delivers traditional songs.
6:26 The wailing is the lament and suffering of Majnun's soul, who are on the verge of breakdown on losing Laila, the love of his life. Read the story of Laila & Majnun, the Persian version of "Romeo & Juliet". It's based on a true story from the 7th century Arabia. Yes, the story and characters is from Arabia, but the first known written story about this is Persian. Ramli yell of "Ya Rabb!" literally means "Oh God!", an English person in the same situation i guess would otherwise say "Please, God!" or "God, why?".
Please do reaction Ning Baizura - CURIGA. i think you was overlooked her talent. she won best new artist 1991 and swap 9 category awards from one single album. Even the song is quiet old but it remain evergreen till now. Her soprano voice kind of phenomena that time. please do reaction.
Yeahh both of u are correct that style of singing was call lenggok melayu but this song combined two technique which is Lenggok Melayu and Arab ✌🏻 if u wanna know in Malaysia Siti Nurhaliza and Noraniza Idris was the female singer can sing very well in lenggong Melayu and if male singer in Malaysia is Jamal Abdillah and M. Nasir ✌🏻
Don't also forget the Late Dato sharifah Aini..our Legend before siti nurhaliza..she was the best example who was capable in singging song with the Lenggok Melayu and the mixture of arabic influence so melodiously... Her voice was so cristal clear and sing with long breathing technique.... Check the song title "kudaku lari" by her... I think not many of the younger generation nowadys know about her..
This music is better than the original/ recorded one...but Jamal was not in a good health by the time...svral years after...n now you could see jamal is more hdsome, fair skin even attractive costumes. One rare/ special about jamal, when come to duet studio recording he always preferred to do it separately....
