14:54 Yes almost, just, a decade difference :) itwas 2004. That was the last time Rammstein was in America before they played the concert in Madison Square Garden. Because after 2001/ 911 the mood in the USA developed so xenophobic that Flaake e.g. Just flew back to Germany alone and the band followed at some point because they didn't feel like the mood that had built up in the USA anymore.

I’d love to know if the “This is not a love song” lyric’s were a nod to the John Lydon (Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols) song he did with P.I.L (public image limited) called “This is not a love song” which was basically saying the same thing, how the world is supposed to dance to the USA’s tune.

As an American, I absolutely jam this song. My interpretation is they are of course commenting on the global influence and how the American culture has permeated to most if not all countries. But I think the additional subtext is to poke fun at the blind patriotism that is very pervasive here. I've always felt you can have pride in your country without ignoring its shortcomings, and the US has many.

It's a parody full of realism about the imperialism of ' USA ' in the world.

We are living in Amerija (They spread the worst things Fast food, coca cola, war) in the countries. America is a continent, they are united stated, the message shows there are in the moon (Really?) we don´t know but they show the great country like octopus showing the most key points they want to show us. Behing this there are many thinks we don´t know like Foreign trade, FMI. The most impact lyrics for me "I don´t sing in my mothers tongue", Native people killed and American invation, new native people talking in english.

No one is making you go to McDonalds or Disneyland. I think that basing this video on Moon landing had in purpose showing the doubt about reality (was the landing faked etc.) but also because winning the space race was one of the most significant signs of USA's superiority to the rest of the World. Oh, one thing: "Deutschland" wasn't banned in Germany, it was "Ich Tu Dir Weh". As for Deutschland, there was a controversy when a trailer (showing only Rammstein members in death camp) was published - but it cleared out quickly when full video was released. Nevertheless, Rammstein is often misunderstood but they don't care, because they concentrate on performing art - wven if this is a literal porn video for "Pussy" 😃 As we are around the Iraq war: did you know, that Richard Kruspe also has his own band/project called "Emigrate"? In that time he created a very interesting song, "War". I strongly recommend it to you, since it has strong Rammstein vibes (I'm curious if you would guess from which Rammstein song!) and you can hear how talented Richard is 😁 Have a nice evening! ♥️
