This song is always best live. An early song of theirs off their first album, they played this regular. Theyve done it with the burning mics and smoke for forever. They later released it as a single with that image of the burning mic amongst the smoke as the cover

This song is from thier album Herzeleid (heartache)and during this time some of the members were going through breakups with their girlfriends. Many people believe that this is about literally seeking revenge and/or vengeance (which of course is one interpretation) After a breakup, you might feel resentment towards the other person, especially if it was a tough break up. You might even feel dead inside. I believe this song is about how going through a break up might feel.. You may feel dead and want to get back at your gf or bf but then you get over him/her and meet someone new and better so you feel reborn again and in a sense your revenge is getting over the breakup and finding someone better so you in a sense ..arise from the ashes.

I hoped you would react to the live version of this song from "Live aus Berlin" concert. That video and this song is how I got introduced to Rammstein more than 20 years ago. And how I fell in love with Richard... 😳🖤 Check that performance for yourselves. I don't know, maybe it's just me (probably it is) and the nostalgy about that exact performance, but to me it is very special. Thanks for another Rammstein! 🖤

I have never fallen in love with a musician, singer, and even if I talk a lot about Till, because by default he is the one who gives the most material to discuss, my favorite is flake… this guy is a pain au chocolat made Man: we tell ourselves that the world must not be so rotten if it exists. and like le pain au chocolat, it is better warm… I understand that Till constantly wants to bake it 😂😂 he has the best of both worlds, I would have liked to live a life like his at times.

@@juma2619 Well, personally, I love each one of them just as if they were my family. And I hate when people concentrate all their attention to Till and talk only about Till, because Rammstein is all 6 of them and if only one was missing, it would not be Rammstein anymore. And yes, Flake is special. But I think each one of them is. It is just personal taste and preference that makes us like one guy over others. To me it has always been Richard, but it is really important to me to let people know that I truly love every single member of Rammstein. It's not all about Richard to me. It is all about Rammstein. 🖤

@@jovana_r I understand your point of view so well, it's that I prefer in this group, there is no leader! everything is decided by vote, same pay, same power of decision, the worst of their song is far above the average, because they are 6 to think about it together. I've always found that they all had an endearing side that made me want to protect them, whereas paradoxically they're big guys who swing big riffs and fire, for example Paul reminds me of a house elf, the one who pricks your left sock while you put on your right sock and rubs his hands laughingly watching you pick it up cursingly. this is just one example and I see the band as a single entity of "contemporary Till Eulenspiegel". ^^

@@jovana_r personally I also understand why people talk a lot about Till, he serves as a lightning rod, he focuses attention by default because is singer and lyricist, but also a lot of criticism or attack, not to mention, on the literary and visual material he product that gives food for discussion outside the group, and the fact that he is evasive in interviews gives even more material to exploit to over-interpret everything he does, says or writes. on the other hand, it exasperates me when it's the specialized press, who are supposed to know what he's talking about and introduce you to rammstein as Till Lindemann's band, when that's the most false thing to say about them. not being a musician for example, I speak more easily of the literary, because I dont have the knowledge to speak about the technical musical aspect.
