yes it kinda does.... in german HAST stands for both words "hate" & "have something", so translated it means at one hand "You had me" and "You hate me" thats the trick of the song cause he sings that his womans asked him for marriage but he sings that she hates him..... its kinda hard to explain but for a german its a nice text-trick
Awsome song.. These guys are awsome with the pyrotechnics.. I hear they were restricted in The states.. In their own country the get away with more and they go all out..Fire everywhere.. Fire fire..he he.. Anyways songs rocks.
@SirNorman2012 This was in '98 before they really caught on, so most of the crowd likely did not know them, or the words. They certainly moshed and cheered enough to make up for it though.
@Mercurium67 The only way I've figured (which is difficult unless you're around German speakers lot) is to listen for either a short 'S', as in Hast, or a longer 'S' as in Hasst. I've been listening to German music for years and I'm awful at distinguishing small things like that.

du hast - you have.. du haßt - you hate... rammstein implies 'you hate' by till's actions at the start of the video. I'm assuming they wrote the title as 'hast' to exclude the ß, which is still pronounced as an S, hast and haßt are pronounced the same but mean different things.
No they won't They were banned when Till was set on fire by accident during one of the songs. I believe he was set on fire will wearing the flame jacket. They used to light his jacket with the flamethrowers on Richard and Oli's guitars. He caught fire, so that is y they don't light him with the flamethrowers or are performing in America again.

I used to love this song. Now that I speak decent enough german I realise, there's far better songs, so now I kinda hate it compared to their other things. I'm pretty sure Eifersucht would have to be may favorite.
dude ok thats right it ALSO means "beeing fast" but that "hast" is an old word and finds no common in use the all day speech.. und ich weiss es denn ich bin deutscher und wenn du meinste es heisst nicht hassen dann hast du bestimmt den falschen übersetzter ;)
