This is the perfect opener ever. Armee der Tristen was really good, but this one is simply the best way to start a concert. Just saw them in Madrid last Friday and I still get goosebumps.
I was there! So was my lovely wife and my 7yo son. It was not that hot that day, even though we did leave the airfield with a bit of a sunburn. When the night fell, it was cold, I forgot my hoodie back home (~340km away from the venue). The only thing that kept me warm were the flames dufing the performance :D We had a blast and it was truly an event to remember! Some interesting bits, of I may: - The beginning of the song (Wer wartet mit Besonnenheit, ...) is lip-synced by Till. So are some of the choruses of other songs. Not a single fan gave a F that day :D - It took us 5 hours to leave airport after the concert. By the time our car left the airfield, the sun was almost up and the stage was almost completely dismantled. The horde of cars was being let out of the airfield through TWO exits, both wide enough to fit just one vehicle at a time. Last people were leaving the place at ~0600AM. The concert ended at ~11:30PM the previous day. - There were ~45000 people and no incidents occured (I don't count an occasional drunk here and there, but that's to be expected). Best fans ever! - The song Pu$$y was still missing from the set list. - When the band returned to the hotel (best one in Trencin), the catering failed and they were left with basically nothing to eat. They were asked to consider McDonald's in the city. I believe that 2 of the band members actually requested McD's. - The prices at the venue were ridiculous. I paid 18e for a 1.5l bottle of water and two cups.
I agree, that this is a fantastic opener. Best opener ever. Rammstein gave us the best gift they could ♥ But actually, I would prefer Armee der Tristen for opening, and Rammlied as a song after coming back from stage B, when it's dark. Man that would be just EPIC! Have a fantastic day!
Yay, I was there, first row on Paul´s side =D This really is perfect start of the show. I love it, with Till going down, light in his mouth. Too bad they can not start during night. When I saw Ollie´s costume for the first time, I asked myself who had to sacrifice their sleeping bag =D It has to be so hot in it! Also, Schneider´s costume looks like very much like Paul´s one now.
