This is so true. Once you enter the gates of the resort, it's like the town behind you is gone. Like being on your own Island paradise. Well, you still are. Absolutely loved it there.
I visited San Pedro and Ramon’s in 1984 as a teenager. What a magical trip. Our first big wow was seeing guys walking around the island with AK47s and M-16s just being chill. Next I came way too close to a nurse shark and two of her children about 12 off the shore in about 6 feet of water. I noticed a nice yacht start to first smolder then catch fire and sink within about 10 minutes from the shore at Ramon’s. Years later I learned that the Escobar cartel was using San Pedro as a refueling hub for loads headed north. The 80s were wild. I was so upset to hear about the fire and damage. I wish I could return one day.
@PattMcCrotch holy crap! That's a lot. No guns or cartels now. Just layed back island life. Lots of ex-pats living there. Ramons is good as new. Thanks for the comment!
@shondadeneve2589 if you are referring to the board walk, it's only on the right side if you're facing the ocean. On the left of the dock is unobstructed beach. It is a dive resort, but they do a great job catering to everyone. It's not like Sandals that does jet skis, parasailing, etc. It's laid back, mostly adults. I would refer you to their website for full layout pictures. Hope that helps.
What a great video, Thanks for sharing! looks like such a beautiful place. My family and I are headed here at the end of July and are super excited! Is there anything special that you would recommend that we do, go or see while in Belize?
If you are divers, you will not be disappointed. Even if you're not, it's such a beautiful place. The people are awesome, and the food is amazing. Lots of really cool places to explore like Secret Beach. All the local restaurants we ate at we're all good. Rent a golf cart from the resort and explore the island. You can also book a trip to see the ancient ruines. Say hi to Rayo and the guys for us. Have fun!
Looks like a great dive shop / hotel. Can you give us a ball park of the cost for a week or ten days? Two or three tank days? Whats the packages look like for cost?
Based on a double occupancy, May 1st - Dec 18th are standard rates, that's when we went. About $215 US per night. We recommend staying in the jungle side if you want quiet at night. Two tank dives run about $90 US and Triple run about $120 US, Boat, Guide, Tanks and weights. They also have a full rental shop and meal plans as well. All the food is amazing! Or, you can wander into town and eat at some of the local spots which was fun too. We never found a bad spot. For triple dive days for 2 and room for 7 days would run about $3200 + tax and food. The meal plans on site are great and local restaurants are pretty inexpensive. Great seafood everywhere! Hope this helps!
It's actually a pretty happening place. The walk through was done early in the morning before we flew home. As soon as the dive boats get going its busy. We were so well taken care of that we will definitely be going again. Love it there, the people are so nice!
@@3fingersupdive766 with diving all day every day I'm sure everyone is getting as much shuteye as they can in the morning before first splash 🤙🤿❤ Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter
@SeattleRingHunter , yes after night dives! Lol We did get extra rest before the Blue Hole to help avoid DCS. There was a guy who got bent on the boat after us. Which brings up another subject about Ramons. There is a decompression chamber across the street from the resort! Thanks for the comment!
