This clip from the Ramones' 1979 NYC show at the Palladium is a rare example of "Bad Brain" and "I Wanted Everything" performed live (This was the final encore). I have remastered the audio for maximum fidelity, since there isn't much for other recordings of these songs live.

My god this is so amazing and so fast, especially I wanted everything this is before Johnny changed his downstroking style too, idk how he managed to downstroke so fast as how fast the song is in this show without his arm and wrist falling off, then again Johnny is the king and master of downstrokes to me, sorry James hetfield gotta give credit where it’s due

No other band could pull this off. Lots of bands played fast, particularly after the Ramones made it fashionable, but these guys actually did it with a rhythm and a feel. Not every stroke had the same emphasis, unlike 99% of hardcore and fast metal bands. Also the lyrics, about daily life - delivering groceries. And who doesn't want Everything! I certainly do.

Holy moly, this is fast as fuck (to play with the 1 - 3 4 5 6 7 8 pattern) I'll try to play along with this, let's see if my arm doesn't commit suicide (Also, nice remaster)

Haha, did you manage it? A lot of this performance is 1 - 3 4 5 - 7 8, but it’s still so fast and really difficult to play clean enough with all the chord changes
