One of the most dramatic examples ever of a guy who could have been described as a nerd transforming into the coolest - RIP Joey Ramone; born today 1951
@@Kelly14UK I used to have one of those cassettes like you got at the checkout in out-of-the-way convenience stores back then. It was Deep Purple live, and had Lady Double Dealer on it, and in spite of its crummy sound quality, was the most badass take of that song I ever heard.
I wish it were possible to truly reproduce the sound of the Ramones live. You physically felt it as much or more than you heard it. It truly felt like you were standing in the path of an oncoming music train. I saw them in a big ol' converted blast furnace one time, and another in a much smaller club. It was the same, no matter what size venue.
One of the greatest punk band every on this planet thank Ramones for the kick ass music if they were still around I bet you their mosh pits would brutal I would go crazy for Pinhead long live long live The Ramones 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The Loco Live tour. They so deserved this success, and so did their public. Well done everybody. One of the greatest musical experiences I’ve encountered.
I’m 52 & I’m lucky enough to say I’ve seen a lot of legendary bands in the prime but the 2 shows I feel the most honored to have been in attendance for were 1) Motorhead at 9:30 club in DC in 02 2) the Ramones at Lollapalooza 96 …..still miss em both 🖤the world could use a band(s) like that right now
I was there. I was on vacation with my parents it was truly unreal I saw them less than year before at the Rouujjck Hotel in N.Y.C. I will tell you they were hardest music around. .
The ramones were from Forest Hill Queens NY. THe venue, was the Rainbow in Finsbury park North London. (Now used as an islamis mosque) Isn't it about time they released this as a DVD? superb live set
Saludos.
'Reverse' fun fact. 😊 Kids Show "Yo Gabba Gabba" on Nickelodeon, with cast member Lance Robertson, brought me here. It's funny how history can repeat itself especially through music. ✨😎
UMAS DAS 03 MAIORES BANDAS DA HISTORIA DA MUSICA EM TODOS OS TEMPOS RAMONES BRILHO ETERNO THANK YOU DEE DEE JHONNY TOMMY JOEY MARKY CJ 4EVER............................................
My peoples. Amazing that so many just did not get it at the time. Now they do and all the Ramones have moved on. Wonder if they know. I can't believe that they are all gone
you also gotta think dude this is 77 ramones only been out 3 years so people werent that use to them and that was the first time alot of em got to see a punk band.
@pit2ryan3 Yeah, I've heard that. I've got the original release, maybe it was pressed straight off the desk tapes (at The Rainbow) and Sire got it fixed later. Anyway, the Ramones sounded like this so, maybe it's not that big a deal but I take your point. Cheers
@aivopark No "Ramones Mania" was only gold album in america and "End Of The Century" is fucking great its has some of thier best songs ill admit i hate the producing by spector but i love the songs beside after thier first four albums following the same formula they needed to break away with something way different
