Unfortunately, Hera doesn't quite crack the upper echelon of competitive Star Wars Unlimited decks, but that's no reason to ignore her entirely! The Spectre package brings some extremely powerful units - PLUS Spark of Rebellion, so let's see what happens when we combine Spark of Rebellion, Force Throw, Forced Surrender, and Resupply all in the same deck!
This is one of my favorite decks to play, and will keep me having fun through the next month as we await the arrival of Set 2 - Shadows of the Galaxy, which will shake the game up massively!

I actually took this deck to a Showdown yesterday. I got 4th and never played it before. I ran an older version with Tarkintown. Tarkintown wasnt bad but a regular base may be better. Unfortunately, Frontline Shuttle never worked for me. I either drew it early and resourced it. Or drew it late when it didnt matter. Going to cut it and give Chopper a try. I agree with you on Kallius. Nothing really looks like it'll help this deck in Set 2. Discerning Veteran may be a good swap. A bit risky though

Glad you had success with it! In set 2, I'm looking at Spark of Hope, The Marauder, and Poe Dameron. Poe provides extremely flexible answers if he can live and works well with Frontline Shuttle and U-Wing. Marauder answers something on board and can set up another resource, a lot like Command. Poe or Force Throw can also set up the resource by pitching a 2nd Marauder or whatever else you have in play. Spark of Hope plays into everything we are trying to do here as well, since we trade units all the time in the early game.

Very clever build I love how you find ways to sneak hand disruption into your builds! You’ve got me reconsidering my Hera blue starter deck in my battle box…

Thank you! I hope it performs well if you give it a try! Blue is still good too, I think the matchup spread is just a little different for it! The only Hera I'm not really big on is Yellow, because her biggest gain imo is access to Spark, and without adding that to other colors, then her ability starts to feel lacking.

I have a few ideas! I'm going to be working in Marauder and Spark of Hope for sure, and really leaning into the ramp potential. I will definitely update more in the future!

Even without more Spectres in Set 2, Spark of Hope is an amazing new tool for her! I'm still going to be tweaking this list with the new cards!

Why not rogue squadron? cool ambush with good effect. I was thinking about Bail Organa as well to support your u wing and ackbar's effect I think that 3x shuttle would be nice

I have never felt like RSS had the stats to matter in the later game. The ambush is OK, but doesn't deal enough to keep up with other end game cards, and getting a 2 cost back isn't all that useful - most often it would just return a card to resource on the next turn when I've played it. Bail I just can't get behind because he's way too easy to take off the board and he leaves little damage back. I could see a 1-of just to occasionally pair with Ghost on U-Wing, but I am not a huge fan of more copies in any deck other than Luke, who can give him a little protection. 3 shuttle is certainly reasonable, though. I saw it a few too many times early at 3, and felt like 2 was right. Finding cuts for these is going to be the struggle though, I don't think I prefer the 3rd shuttle over anything else in the list but YMMV!!

Double green Hera feels so much better. You’re really only replacing the windu and force throws. Which are underwhelming anyways, and you get to use command for ramp, xp, removal, and recursion which is much more impactful and flexible

I've played plenty of mono green, too, and that can be cool! But command feels underwhelming to me in a lot of matchups as its got several conditions attached to its ability to impact the board. Personally, I think you might be undervaluing the full discard package, especially Forced Surrender. But feel free to give it a shot or keep playing what you prefer - either way, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

How do you find your opening hands?

Just fine in general - T1 plays are not super important in later game decks. Ideally you'll try to find either Spark, Resupply, or both against anything more midrange. If you have a lot of really heavy aggro decks in your expected meta, you can go Yularen or Battlefield Marine over Spark in the main just to have more threats to fight them with right away.

I've tried him a few times - ultimately, he's unreliable at throwing the opponent's resources off, and doesn't do the kind of damage that really helps clear the board against many commonly played units. I would much rather start the early game with a Spark of Rebellion, or at least something that can clear the opponent's unit before it deals damage to me! If I've got initiative and I have a Chopper in play, I'm just taking a gamble at stumbling their resources, but not actually taking the threats that exist off the board, and that's not the position I've liked to be in with this deck!

I'd argue that Chopper helps aid you in decking your opponent early and often synergizing with Kanan, who also discards a card from your opps deck for each spectre you control, healing for each aspect revealed
