As a whole, I'd lay dimes to donuts br mgmt is a wholly dismissed skill for some large percentage of the general poker community (as in, well north of 50 percent). And for the minority that give it its due, well north of 75 percent have engaged in violative behavior more than once. Shot-taking is a helluva drug.💉

Ethan built a fantastic following. Crushing 2/5 games, making the upward trajectory along with Mariano. A legend in MA. Rampage was born. Going on trips to Las Vegas sent his followers into a tizzy. His merchandise exploded. Hitting the live streams was epic. We couldn’t wait to see the previous nights results and vlogs. But now, Rampage has become a gambler, and a very bad one at that. While Mariano has been steady, analyzing his play, reading his opponent’s tells, Ethan is getting sloppy. His bullish style doesn’t quite fit with the cards he holds. I wish he’d take a step or two back and put out some quality poker content that we used to relate to. Taking an ‘L’ isn’t a bad thing if your play is on point.

@maheshpun4804
@maheshpun4804 4 месяца назад
Even 10 -15% is very aggressive, I would say 5% is already aggro but acceptable. The only time 10-15% is good is only if there is no games at lower stakes and higher than your current stakes, and if it is a super soft table. HCL seems to have games at stakes just lower with 40k buyin so playing that would make more sense to play for Rampage if indeed 500k is alot to him.

There is nothing inherently wrong with gambling, per se. What is wrong is thinking that playing for ridiculous amounts of money makes one smarter or better at gambling. It prob wouldn't hurt for him to drop back to 1/2, 1/3 or even 2/4 for a while and spend some time studying Jonathan Little for a while and mentor under Daniel Negreanu for a while. I'll keep watching his stuff to pick up bits but wow.

Rampage is a terrible poker player, he is just a luckbox, he doesnt understand the economics of playing with people who have alot more money than he will ever see, these guys arent good either but have so much money they dont give ashit, he will be bust if he isnt already, he has a lot to learn, especially in the cash streets

@AlexDuvall so what when you're gambling it all away. A mm who is doing financially well doesn't post what he posted before playing this game. And his persona was different than what its been in the past when losing big. He seemed calm and accepting "fate" instead of angry like he has been. It's almost like he is finally facing reality that he needs help.

I watched Rampage for the last 3+ years, from his 2/5 in Boston and knows he is just a good players, not a player who caliber is good enough to play with the big boys. He often got lucky and riverer his card. Often time, he is just a fish in high stakes. He got really luck when he shove all in with just a Ace high on the million dollar game. Hands should have re riase on the turn with his trip QQQ but got scared, thinking Ethan got AK and flopped boardway. Again, if he is smart, stick to tournament and go back to 2/5 where he can actually afford those lost.

When nik airball folded the A7hearts to rampages KK when the backdoor flush hit kik wasnt worried about thr flush even though it was possible there was a very simple hand that beat his 7 and the would be 78 cause it flopped the open ended str8 draw that hit on the turn so nik thought he was beat from the turn on cause if rampage had 78 which is easily in his range he thought he was beat.
