Ramsay's Round is a 24 hour running challenge around the hills of Lochaber. 56 miles long and taking in several ranges of mountains, finishing on Ben Nevis. In this film, I follow Alicia Hudelson as she attempts to be the 100th finisher and 5th female finisher. I hope it captures the pleasure of mountain running. The film was commissioned by the Nevis Landscape Partnership.

Another spectacular video from Dave. The Scottish mountain scenes just look mind blowing, that would be enough, but the story telling was brilliant as well. Super well put together piece.

Amazing video. Do people actually realise how ridiculous of an achievement this is? Absolutely brutal, 24 Munros in 24 hours? I struggle to do one in 7 hours 😭

Dave, for one of your future vlogs, could you talk about the relevance in health of keeping a circadian rhythm? What I mean is, keeping a certain 'healthy' schedule (sufficient sleep, good nutrition, etc.) fixed, what are the effects of shifting that schedule within the day? For example, I feel like I have a healthy schedule, but I am totally free to choose the time I wake up and go to sleep (which is now the case with many others in this coronavirus situation). I think it's common lore that waking up around sunrise is healthy, but I'm not too sure if it really is important. From my own limited experience testing this, I have not seen much of a difference in what time I wake up, but I wonder that there could be a small change that would add up over long periods of time, as is the case with good recovery from physical training. I'm curious about what you think/know about this.

Hi Dave, this is an interesting article by Beth Rodden about her struggle with her body and climbing. It has nothing to do with this great video but maybe you find it interesting and want to talk about it, since this seems to be an issue in our sport: www.outsideonline.com/2411201/beth-rodden-climbing-body-image ("Climbing's Send-at-All-Costs Culture Almost Ruined Me") This one is also slightly related to Beth's story: www.nytimes.com/2019/11/07/opinion/nike-running-mary-cain.html ("I Was the Fastest Girl in America, Until I Joined Nike") Stay healthy and have a great weekend.

That would be nice but no. This has actually been a ridiculously busy period for me first with exams for uni and then using the lockdown time to try to catch up on many other things I need to do while I cannot go climbing. All these are older films I made a while ago and were shown at film festivals but got permission from the NLP to add them here.

@@climbermacleod I'm enjoying them a lot! Even though I'm from Norway and I've never been to Ben Nevis or the neighbouring peaks, I enjoy learning about what seems like a very vibrant little microcosm in that area. It's very similar to what you might find here too, different personalities who get attracted to a certain mountain area for widely different reasons.
