Ramsay Street Is No More, As Neighbours Wraps Filming For The Last Time 

They say at the start of this clip but it's due to Channel 5 (the UK station) pulling out of the funding due to losses 😥💔

@@kevynb2087 I missed that part, when they said that at the beginning of this clip... If the losses are true, I just read that Channel 5 said it costs to much to film, compared to the revenue Neighbours generates from its advertising. But Fremantle, in Australia, who film neighbours share some of the costs, so that doesn’t make much sense. But I think the real reason, is, they want to focus on more U.K. Dramas, but I don’t see why we can’t have both, when the viewer ratings are so high in the U.K. for it. Why can’t Fremantle go it alone, and put it on RU-vid, and see if it generates the same high viewer ratings on there, becoming a RU-vid sensation, and generating revenue from doing that, if t’s possible, with actors and viewers making donations as well, via RU-vid and other media to keep it afloat.

you might get a reboot or a spin off of some sort. Here in the UK (If you are not from the UK) we have had a couple of shows that's had spin offs.

I saw the last episode, I could see how woke the show had gone.

i didn't think it had all that much mileage left either, but i think the makers or who ever deals with the show, have priced it off the air.

The street having the highest density of homosexuals anywhere in the world probably didn't help it stay on air either. It's unwatchable now.

i have not watched TV for years, there is nothing on at all, worth watching now. I recon the rating on this have nose dived to the point channel 5 have thought its not worth broad casting, BBC i think moved it on for the same reason.

@@ERIN_198 the audience in the UK was bigger than in Aus. That's why they picked it up in the first place, but as costs got bigger, they failed to get it to new audiences, instead ditching a near 40 year run. Greed!

There were quite a few other Australian shows that also had a UK audience, like The Sullivans, Sons and Daughters, and Young Doctors, which Jim from Neighbours was also in.

Stefan released a record and tried to be a popstar I seem to remember. Can't blame him for being on neighbours for so long though, bet it was a cushy number.

He got to play a meglomaniac with an even bigger Ego what was not to love about that role lol

Trust me it went down the pan ofter the late 90s,if nor just b4. I'm only just watching it to see how it will come to an end. Not watched it myself in the last 15 _ 20yrs
