Get a large kids plastic pool and fill it with the best bubble making fluid you you can find, and dip your Flying Ring into the pool and gently raise it out of the pool vertical and flip it into the horizontal and punch out the biggest GIANT BUBBLES ever!
Absolutely outstanding. Looks like loads of fun and my mind is racing with the cool possibilities of this very cool craft.

AWESOME!!! Put some LED's on it and fly it at night, scare the living crap out of people! EDIT: I wrote this about 1 minute before the guy said it at the 9 minute mark
Excellent video, thank you! Given that it flies along without spinning about it's axis, perhaps you could shape the upper and lower parts of it to form aerofoil lifting "wings"?
Spenser Pulleyking have them automated in some way and that would be amazing. I guess you could technically hire pilots to fly one gate each... either way this is great.
I would offset the motors in the circular wing the radius of the props to protect from prop strikes, and build up the center of the circular wing. Great video.
Very impressive. On your second build try forming an airfoil shape out of the foam.... better stability into the wind. Nicrome wire and heat will cut through the foam. Glue a wood template on each end of the foam and run the wire over the wood templates. Never seen this particular application of a tube in flight.
How did I not discover your channel sooner? What an amazing creative talent good job sir, I have been binge watching your weird flying object videos :) Ingenuity at its finest: what a way to use a kk to do all this special flying, when most consider it "dead" and a junk to throw away!!!!
Not just him but his whole group and more groups like them. Do you remember before the pandemic the big thing to hit the news was the random drones flying all around colorado and nebraska?
Great design, great flying and filming. Maybe add some cross wires, maybe two through the centre in a quad form to add stability to structure, it should help with weird oscillation, plus you could shortcut control wires through centre and not have to use perimeter.
Hello guys very good excellent spectacular. Looks like a big wedding ring. I send a very big greeting for everyone from the club grouping model Albatross Albatros of Buenos Aires 😃👍👍.
Thanks for posting for who knows what ideals or dreams you may spark in the eyes of the young to the old well done after all the aircraft came from two guys working in a bicycle shop and look at them as fools I am sure. From that first flight at kitty hawk aircraft like the SR 71 have skipped across the skies and open doors Just thank your budget on this was not even a drop in the bucket when we look at NASA or places like MIT who do things lik all the time we need more people like you in schools helping to open the mines of the young Thanks for posting
Thank you. That's one of the reasons Ran makes a video explaining how each aircraft works. He wants kids to understand that anything is possible and that it doesn't have to cost a lot of money.
A nice long tapered fuselage in the centre, flatish base that does not protrude below ring bottom. Wing type struts to the ring doing double duty as flight control as well as holding the spear in place. NGC 1701A ?
It’s cool. But that ring needs an airfoil leading edge, and it needs to be spinning at around 120 rpm. They sell that Australian flying ring as a children’s toy.
Do a couple crosses of Spectra or another strong line from the leading edge to the opposite side trailing edge and you should be able to stabilize the entire shape and reduce those oscillations.
Makes an ordinary helicopter look hopelessly complex and dangerous. With inboard turbojets instead of those propellers and colored smoke in the exhaust, black netting in the interior and suitable decals you could attract all sorts of attention from big brother. I wonder how big it would have to get to carry a passenger (dressed as an alien of course). Patents pending?
Mount the blades inside the ring so they will be less likely to be damaged. Also, make it more aerodynamic. Reduce height an make the edges more arodynamic.
