Most of the time, when he tastes the final product, he tends to look either surprised, impressed, joyful, or disgusted. This is the first time I've ever seen him terrified.
i know this face was something else entirely 😂😂 never ever seen this look on his face before, man looked shook, like he’d figured out the mysteries of the universe lmao
I don't know what y'all are smokin' but I was forced to move to Illinois when I was 9 years old. I get paroled two weeks every year so I can spend some time near an ocean. I am now 56 and when I retire in less than 3 short years... I hope to NEVER have to return to Illinois for any reason. I never want to be land locked again. And, no... a sea of corn and soy beans is not a substitute for an ocean. Some people may love Illinois, but I am not one of them. To my mother, Illinois is "God's Country" which are her words not mine.
@@bigjohnsbreakfastlog5819 eh, sorta but not really. The guy that founded the Hidden Valley Ranch company invented the recipe in Alaska during his spare time, but he didn't start marketing it until he founded the company in California a few years later. Additionally, Ranch as a product is both consumed and used in recipes in the Midwest more than any other region in the US.
oh I needed that laugh it felt so good. I dont know why but "my whole house smells like hidden valley" and "by the power of the midwest" and "what kind of Nebraska Voodoo is this" broke me (had me almost falling out of my chair laughing) and somehow made my day. thank you Dylan. my bad day has the factory reset it needed.
same here, had no clue this was a thing but I forget that cornbread itself is technically "neutral" like most bread, so it could go either way of savory or sweet.... or maybe something else?
The BEST kind - the kind that involves CORN! _The Power Of CORN Compels You!_ _The Power Of CORN Compels You!_ _The Power Of CORN Compels You!_ *_PRAISE HE WHO WALKS BEHIND THE ROWS!_*
Yeah, there USED to be a third tribe in the area between the Oto and Missoula. You know, living on the islands in the great lake of what eventually became the Missouri river... 😱
@@empath69something tells me you don't know geography lmfao Nebraska isn't remotely close to the great lakes and the Missouri River doesn't naturally connect to them lmfao Yeah America has a terrible history of treatment of the indigenous ppls but lying about hundreds of miles (like 877 miles) does nothing to help us.
@jvallas nebradka doesn't even have any large lakes really and lakes don't turn into rivers often so yeah I think saying they might be having trouble with geography is accurate still
I love hearing British phrases come out of the mouth of someone sounding SO American!! The abruptly halted “are you taking the p1ss?!” brought such joy to my heart 🤣😂❤
@@paul22411 I know, and I’m aware that Bermuda is or was technically British…but his accent does sound rather American doesn’t it? That’s why I said “British phrases…sounding SO American!”
@@BeautyByMrsFooCough he has kind of a trans-Atlantic tinge to his speech. Overall American pronunciation but there's a certain flavor that sets him apart from the typical American native speaker.
I did too XD. It's just the hipster in you complaining though. Ranch dressing was originally based on popular herbs/spices you'd have on hand - onion, garlic, chives, parsley, dill, black pepper, mustard, and cream or buttermilk. Hence why it got so popular.
You sir have done two things for me. The first is that you've reignited my love of baking. I now go to antique shops and buy old cook books and I love every second of it. I've even bought your book. Excellent job by the way. And the second thing you've done is make me realize I'm bi. I've always fought it but between your funny jokes and your dashing good looks I've accepted it. So thank you for helping me become more...me ☺️
As a descendant of Nebraskans, this speaks to me on a deeper level than I've ever felt. O wise Bermudian-Wyomingite! I must learn of the other three recipes!!!
If you look at it some, it's the next logical step along the "condiments as meal base" evolutionary line that includes the hellacious mayo-based "salads" of years past.
Sir, you are a beautiful person, who brightens my day. It is a genuine joy to have your clips pop up on the feed. Seriously, your humor and charisma are top notch!
"Prick...prickle on" your Freudian slip is showing, Dahling! Side note, that mascara and bit of pink shadow really brings out those gorgeous eyes. 👍🏻 as a professional cosmetologist I've got to say you've always been a handsome guy but this takes it up more than a notch. (Insert Eartha Kitt's iconic growl here) 😻
Ran this by my formerly Nebraskan mother and she was like "Yep. Don't worry it'll be delicious." the whole way through. She says midwest food is amazing but deadly.
I gave in and subscribed. Your shorts have been invading my feed randomly for 2 months. I'm now binging everything and haven't stopped laughing for an hour.
Because no one else has said it, your mascara is on point! Nailed it dude. Edit; I didn't expect to get 2 400 likes on this comment, but im glad we all acknowledge his beauty. Thanks, everyone!
Dylan is just gorgeous! With or without mascara, his gorgeous eyes really do pop with the mascara. (I am one of those women who find gay men extremely attractive)
but...I *like* Wyoming, and I especially like Dylan - why would you wish such a fate on either of them? ('the Ultimate Cornbread' is nothing like you *imagine* it to be. Such a dread and fell force once again unleashed upon the world would be disastrous. There's a REASON that knowledge is secret and locked away. Here's a hint: before Europeans ever reached what is now known as the Missouri river, 'the council bluff' was a meeting point of three tribes: the Oto, the Missoula, and a third that none will speak the name of, that lived on the islands in the great lake that *used* to lie below that bluff...)
As a Southerner I thought we owned cornbread. And I was right, and this video proves why. Give it to the Midwest, they do strange and ungodly things with it. Not entirely bad - just sacrilegious.
Legend states that if you assemble all 5 secret cornbread recipes, you can summon the Unstoppable Cornxodia and you instantly win all baking competitions.
I think you should get a medal for services to the greater community for continuing to trying these recipes for us. That, and having to live in Hidden Valley Ranch house. 😅
😊 Thanks for the content, always good for a laugh and a good recipe . Speaking of recipe , I just purchased your book for my oldest daughter (10) can't wait to taste the recipe she tries first
It's just so funny when he tries the finished recipe and he's surprised by how good it is... but then, a lot of his reactions when he hates it are pretty hilarious, too.
I'm wondering how it would be with a bottle of honey mustard dressing instead of the ranch. Dylan, you are getting to be an international treasure to we, would be, gourmands. Bless your heart!
So curious about the other secret cornbreads now 😂 love the one-liners as always...never heard "by the power of the Midwest," but as a Midwesterner, I'm stealing it 😂
