Punk isn't about what label you're signed to, or how many people bought your records. It's an attitude. If you have a punk attitude, and put it into your music, then you have punk music. And I would say Rancid most definitely qualifies.

My favorite Rancid Tune. The camera spends lots of time on Tim but if you've ever seen them live it's Lars that's at the forefront driving the show. Both are great performers but Lars sets the pace.

@satchbob Also being an old geezer who grew up on punk, I gotta agree with you on Rancid being punk. Just look at Tim and Matt in the Op Ivy days (87-89) these guys are resposible in many ways for carrying the punk tradition into the 90's and they are still rocking with a Rancid tour last year, Lars and the Bastards and Tim and his many musical projects.

@bigkex dude... the offspring were one of the 3 bands that helped revive punk in the 90's, along with Rancid and Green Day.. and Blink 182 is good... Travis Barker is an amazing drummer

First rancid cd I bought was soaked in old soda or something and it was rancid. And being like 11 thats how I thought the cd came because of the bands name. Till my mom saw it and flipped, cd worked and thats all I cared about.
