@@jessezappey5352 What are you getting at? He said he isn't too fond of Nazis, are the whole crowd Nazis? I doubt it. Maybe a couple, but probably not everyone :)
@@devilsoffspring5519 Their in Germany one of the few places most peoples grand parents were actual Nazi's. Who the fuck is he to judge or want to put a bullet in anyone's head? My grandfather was drafted by the Nazi's and I take offence to his statements. That's what the bastard wants peoples gandpa's not able to tell what they went though in WW2 for fear of being imprisoner or exicuted how fair is that?
@@jessezappey5352 what he said was true and the crowd was lame way before he said that, if you think the legacy of the german people is the third reich you're a fucking idiot.
Serious Shit ! Journey to the end of Eastbay...ma'an lol the times, started listening to Ranncid full time in 95, Punk hasnt died thanks to your post!!!Cheers All
Yeah, I sounds so thick & full. Jazz bass tone (w thin, weak single coil pups) doesn't do it for me. Not into high treble klank tone. It does look like his bass HAS sc pups, but they look like Nordstrand (high output single coils).
Hello, this was filmed in 1998, which meant that they still had those big heavy cameras, the producers were probably going "Everybody please stay calm, we need the space to move our cameras around."
5:58 and Matt's singing at the same time!!! That's HOLY SHIT!!! This my favorite Rancid era though. I LOVE "Life Won't Wait". It's my favorite Rancid album next to "... And Out Come The Wolves".
The shirt tim is wearing is a friend of mine band Stopper from Atlanta. The were around from the early to mid nineties. They opened for rancid around 94. The shirt is a picture of Dave schumate puking. The picture was taken at the perfect time when the puke hit the ground and was bouncing back up off the pavement. Great times. I wish I could go back to that time period! Love ya Dave and Ian!
Punk rock doesn’t necessarily mean music it’s how you were raised and what you believe. It’s more of a way of life and I believe that Tim and Matt are just as much punk as Lars
This is great. As many times as ive seen these guys over the years i never once heard them play a single track off Life Wont Wait. My favorite album by theirs.
I love these cats so effing much, I got to see them four different times live and they are very much one of my favorite punk bands ever! Punx not dead and it never will be!
Rancid is of the greatest groups ever. Punk Rock for fevvver. It's not dead!!!! Rancid and One Crew have some amazing material. And you probably do too. It's 202?!? Form a band. Love ya!!!! -RDV
Saw them a bunch growing up while playing in punk rock bands out Oside CA. They were one our favorite groups keeping the torch lit by the Clash and many other great groups , they are just as important and great. Some of the best times seeing them live back in the 90’s!
Riccardo Brio do you really think they know 5 chords. I've got to go put on my headphones and listen to all 4 parts of Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music " to clear my head.
@@weirdsideelly3111 makes punk look bad, i wish people would stop spreading this nonsense. so many "punk" bands use more harmonically rich chords and structures.
Yea man, i never seen such an uptight audience when RANCID of all bands is jammin, whatever, Freakin hanses didnt know what hit them back in 98! Fantastic musicians and Matt Freeman is a Base savant!
Wish I had been there top gig love rancid and we're is the big pit are still fucking amazing live and lars and Tim still have it come to England more please
Lol during Matt's solo in Maxwell Murder the best they found to show us was Brett's back. The guy plays a whole solo and doesn't appear once on screen. They did the same in another show (I think it was an earlier one and it can be easily found on YT)
PUNKS NOT DEAD! THEY NEVER WILL!!!
I love rancid. I can sing Lars and Tim's parts and the early Matt Freeman lyrics word for word. I been a fan since 1993. I also am a fan of operation ivys record. My favorite modern punk band.
Lowkey my favorite thing about this whole performance is when Lars looks over at the keyboard guy at 33:02. Lars is all serious for the whole song, but when he sees the keyboard guy rocking out during his solo, he can't help but break out in a huge smile.
Disco bellissimo e band in gran forma!
