"He had it coming? He was only twelve years old- The kid's in a blizzard, he got shot for being cold." Some lyrics are so different in that soft voice.
This song is 22 years old and you can still go to Civic and Market and score in about 10 seconds. The more SF changes (Twitter/Uber/Google/Facebook) the more it stays the same.
This is a grand version of an unbelievably epic song. I believe Rancid writes most of their songs acoustically while they are probably hanging out tossing ideas back & forth. Super organic & wise way of writing IMO. Then they punk the fuck out of them. Or they go two tone, or all over the musical map with Life Won't Wait. Now that album is fucking amazing. Orange vinyl to boot. The second verse is MIA on this version. Took me a long time to notice in fact. Similar to Gary Oldman singing My Way in Sid & Nancy. In the film, verse 4 is MIA in the film. Like this, it still rips though. The soundtrack has all 4 verses. Lars is coughing to provide back up vocals or simply because the man had to fucking cough. The song does speak about being addicted, drug addled and dopesick so the cough fits like a charm. Cheers!!(A)
I don't know something about this song acoustic just sounds silly. This is supposed to be a gritty raw addicted to dope living in Section 8 song and Tim's all like making it folksy lmfao.
