@@LoveBugXOXO It *can* break down into top and bottom sections plus lid if you want to do that. My experience has been that people usually secure it (bungee, etc.) &/or set it in the sink. The filtered water is in the bottom so you could just use it up (pour into travel mugs or bottles) and proceed. *However*, depending on how long you leave the top stored, if the filters get dry, you will need to re-chaarge them the same way it is done the first time they are used.

Fall 2004, we were headed from NH west. Full timing for only 6 months. We stayed at a rv park in Lebanon, Tn for a few nights and saw the sights. When we left the 5th wheel was loaded with those beetles. 8 years later, when we went from full to part time, cleaning out the 5th wheel,I found lots of carcasses still hidden in the nooks and crannies of the rv. New River Gorge Bridge Festival, was held every October. People came from all around the world to jump off that bridge. It was really exciting to see. The Northbound lane was blocked to traffic. White water rafting is popular in this area. All those Lady bugs are set loose to kill the mites in the pine trees. I enjoyed coming down Route 19 with you. Traveled it 44 years coming from Pittsburgh, Pa. to Wytheville, Va. & vice versa.

Very interested in the KYD55 program. I will check it out! About the bugs...yeah... those Asian beetles are true pests. Brougjt here to 'improve' on mother nature and get tid of potatp grubs or something, if I remember correctly. They can be horrid. Dogs sometimes catch and eat them, which can be bad, because they do cause gastric problems and can be toxic for them, so please watch Charlie. My husband is actually allergic to them, so we keep vacuuming them up! Ugh.

Re doing laundry on the road. Get one of those large industrial-type plastic buckets with the re-sealable lids. Put your dirty clothes in it along with some water and laundry detergent, put on the lid and then hit the road. The motion of your van or car will wash your clothes for you. After about an hour of driving, pull over, wring out the clothes, rinse out the bucket, put the clothes back into the bucket with some fresh water and hit the road again. Again, the motion of your vehicle will rinse the clothes for you. You will have to rely on hanging out your laundry to dry on a clothes line or pay to use a dryer, but either way, you'll still be saving time and money. If you really want to go up-market, you can have two buckets - one for washing and one for rinsing. That way, you can brag to other RVers that you have a twin tub washing machine!

I'm in! We are in our 50s. I started Weight Watchers at the beginning of the year and have lost 40 lbs. My husband has lost 15 lbs. I was going to the gym twice a week and taking cardio classes (Zumba and step bench), an hour each. I am taking time off for Christmas but will restart again in January. I really like WW because it's a lifestyle change and not a diet. I can still eat a slice of pizza if I want, just not everyday. I've learned to be good all week and save up for special nights like birthdays and anniversaries. I saved a lot of money too because I no longer pick up breakfast and lunch everyday. I still go out to eat breakfast with my husband on weekends but we are more careful about what we pick. Omelets with grilled chicken and veggies instead of greasy potatoes covered in cheese, ham, bacon, etc. We can still enjoy our beer; we just switched to hard seltzer. That alone saved me tons of calories, because I was consuming 16oz Icehouses which each had 199 calories and 13g carbs! You're only supposed to have ~20g carbs a day on a healthy diet. And I was consuming a 6-pack at a time! Corona hard seltzers have 0 carbs, 0 added sugars, and are only 70 calories each. I had an Icehouse the other day at a friend's house and I could barely choke it down. I'd been drinking them for over 20 years.

I want it! I think right now the healthy thing is really important especially in a lot of places where the gyms are shut down or it's to cold to do our normal outdoor activities. You guys have given me so much great advice about the RV life! I can’t believe that I have something to share with you!!! Try an Aero Press for your coffee. It can do a cup (or thermos cup) at a time. It isn’t messy and the used coffee grounds can easily and cleanly be ejected into the garbage. And the coffee??? Fabulous. Alton Brown claims it to be his #1 way to make coffee!

To me the RV “community” means your fellow RVers will help out if they can. I’ve been a motorcycle rider and “Jeeper” for close to 30 years. And almost every time I was on the side of the road (with my bike), or stopped (off the trail) in my Jeep. Someone would stop and offer help. It’s a great feeling to know that, even when you’re out solo, if something happens; another bike (or Jeep) will be along shortly to help you out. Case in point: a group of us (4) decided to ride our motorcycles from MPLS, MN. to the Arctic Circle in AK (8,803 miles in three week). We had to pull over three separate times while on the AL-CAN highway. Every time we stopped other bikers pulled over to see if we needed help. One rider in our group ran out of gas (in the middle a construction zone). While we prepared to siphon gas from another bike, one of the construction guys came over and offered to (fill her tank). That’s how the Motorcycle and Jeepers roll. We wave at each other when pass on the road, and pull over and help when ever we can.✌🏼

Haven’t read the other 91 comments. The flute - cover all the holes with your fingers. Uncover each hole from the bottom up to play. So lift up the finger from the bottom hole while blowing and keep other holes covered. If it squeaks there is air escaping from one of the covered holes. Then lift the next finger up (keeping bottom finger up as well). Keep working up the holes then work down the same way. Husband and I play Native American flutes and this is how they work. I have no idea why all the crap came out of that package tho!!! 😳 We really enjoy watching you guys and your travels. Thanks for sharing.

Exactly as you stated "This is Gorgeous" as we're starring at your Wife. She is definitely a gem my friend. I'm absolutely envious of your guys traveling all over the place and living life to the fullest and see some amazing places. Love your videos. Keep up the great work.

We have a 425 mile drive tomorrow , North Texas to Little Rock, Arkansas. Tuesday is a short 290 mile drive to middle Tennessee. After 6 weeks in Texas time to go back to Indiana, hope all goes good.

Yes, of course...fab, fab music. BUT! I also love the use of maps. Very cool that you always cut in the maps. It's great for our orientation and your storyline. Love the maps. AND the music. :-)

KYD55 sounds cool as soon as Doc gets my thyroid back into normal range, so I can think clearly and have enough energy to walk farther than a block. Right now I dont want to push my hormones and cortisol any farther out of whack as cardio and exercise can do! Hoping soon to be back to functioning again. The good news is after 30 yrs of docs not listening I'm finally on my way back to health!

The difference between you guys and other you tubers, what make you so good, is that you shoeless happiness and others just focus on the negative part. Even when you show the problems it is in a nice way. By the way such great sound tract. You guys rock

Would be nice to know when you were in west Virginia and told us the date in the video so we have a reference for weather, etc. You issue the videos very late so there would be no security issues.

The insect your referring to is a Asian Lady Beetle. Very similar to ladybugs, except they leave an odor. Japanese beetles are bigger and a green color. Love the videos.

We call those corn bugs but they're specifically called Ladybird beetle or cucumber beetle. I heard they can bite....but I've never gotten bit so unsure of that. Japanese beetles are an iridescent green and look nothing like a lady bug of any color. Japanese beetles can clean a garden out in very little time or any other fruit and foliage etc.

For your next set of truck brake pads, may I suggest Wagner Severe Duty pads. Good bite without the dust. Your front wheels will stay a lot cleaner.

Wow. Thank you for this episode. The theme of taking care of our health to continue planning/doing really hit us. Planning, planning, planning. Like we've got all the time needed to do and see everything when plans and life issues can derail "the plan"; super good reminder to pay attention. Appreciated the tips and music. Thanks to you all!

I love the seat heater comment. My Wife calls them seat heaters!! She also calls the GPS her “get-er-to-er”!!! Somehow it all does make sense🤔!

We had stopped at the same Harvest Host on October 30. The cavern tour was fun. The dog across the street that barked incessantly, not so much. We are enjoying your channel. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

If I may suggest, next time you're passing the New River Gorge Bridge area (WV Rt19 & 60) may I recommend Babcock State Park west on Rt 60, there is so much to see in that area, such as Kanawha, Cathedral, & Sandstone Falls, the mining town of Nuttallburg, &the town of Thurman just to name a few. Also one of the other area of WV we love is in the north, Blackwater Falls SP. In easy driving distance is Seneca Rocks, Canaan Valley, the Cass Railroad and Dolly Sods Wilderness which does have a primitive campground. There is so much history in WV and the wilderness is spectacular
