Great episode! Are you taking suggestions for topics of discussion? Enjoyed the different points of view, especially the point of view of not knowing what goes on the various types of bathrooms. I would keep this in the mix. My story to add to your conversation: Many years ago, I worked in an office building and the men’s room for the floor had only two urinals. One day, I am answers nature’s call/taking care of business and minding my own business when another male enters. He then begins to TCB, and from out of nowhere, he says, “I’m a leaner to the right kinda guy.” From that day forward unless it’s an emergency, I wait for an empty bathroom.

This was funny to me. At some point in your life you don't become bothered about much that is normal about humans. Some humans are respectful while others aren't. There are ways of dealing with people that aren't, as well as the dumb people. What bothers me are people who leave their stuff in the toilet for others to notice. That's disrespect. That's low class. I don't care what kind of problem you have, there is _always_ a way to flush before you leave.
I was at a Q&A with Dick Van Dyke yesterday and he noted "Modern Times" as a favorite of his, and Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel and Buster Keaton as influences. He said he thought he was born too late; really appreciates the silent-era comedians.
@@breckrichardson390 Modern Times debuted in 1936 as a "part-talkie" movie long after talkies had begun. What's not to like, Chaplin and the delicious Paulette Goddard. DVD was lucky enough to know Stan Laurel before he died.
@@breckrichardson390 Linking DVD and Chaplin is that during the dream house scene in Modern Times, Chaplin trips over the ottoman. Another piece of DVD trivia, many people don't know there were three intros filmed for his show, not the two most people know. The third version has him missing the ottoman and then tripping over his own feet. The clothes are different in the 3rd version, most notably Laura’s dress. I've just read this version has shown up in all of the episodes from Season 3, 1-7 except episode 3. I can't confirm it, though.
Indy 500 does it circle-jerk style. Several big livestock-sized freestanding (not attached to any wall) fully round "wading pools", each perched atop its own sturdy pedestal in a barren block building. Where 30 drunken dudes stand shoulder-to-shoulder around the perimeter of each round station, -everyone facing each other. A warm and pungent cloud of collective pee mist engulfs the participants. And there's still a 'line' of dudes standing behind waiting for their turn. (over 300,000 attendees) You just squeeze into the tight and intimate pee circle with your new pee pals, wherever a tiny space opens up.
This was hilarious! I have a favorite airport bathroom. San Francisco, south part where you've gone through customs/baggage inspection and going to the main part of the domestic terminal. Make a sharp right and there it is! No one is ever in there and it's spotless. No one to hear you poop. I used to go there, then go outside to sneak a cigarette (wasn't a smoking zone!) because, again, no one was there, So peaceful, out of the wind and everything! Ah, the good old days when I could still travel...💗

There are definitely rules for the men's room, and one that I wish more guys would remember is not to swing the bat until you get all the way to the plate. Some will have it out 1/3 of the way there, I don't know who they're trying to impress...
I know (I hope) that this is just a random vlog . . . and you guys are not REALLY this obsessed with perceived awkward restroom scenarios. It's just crazy how repressed we have become as a society that this is even 'a thing'. I mean we all have quite similar equipment and perform the same bodily functions when nature calls. Just try to address this whole subject without any perceived emotional 'trauma'. You'll find it's much (VERY much) ado about Nothing. I mean why are we even paranoid with thoughts that others want to look at what we got? . . . and . . . on the remote chance that someone might look . . . what dif does that make? . . .. what are they gonna do with whatever info they have gleaned by their glance? . . . and . . . how does that affect you? I would argue that 99.9993% of men couldn't give a rat's ass . . . and any random stray glances are . . . just that. I mean your eyes gotta go somewhere. I remember back in the day . . . I went to a club in LA where the mensroom had a big (10ft diam) round trough urinal . . . yeah a 'circular firing squad' . . so to speak. It was a very busy club and I don't ever remember anyone acting either invasive with their glances . . . or oddly paranoid. Yeah people had some alcohol in them . . . but guys exchanged friendly chat about the music/club/chics . . . but it did not provoke an awkward situation . . . at all. I don't know what has changed in our society that has brought about such paranoia and shame.
@jrbaytown ??? No respect lost by me. I'm at least twice the age if these guys and have always felt the awkwardness of these situations they describe. It has nothing to do with our society changing. It's more about U.S. society versus other societies. We've always have been a bit repressed. I wish we were more relaxed like Western Europe. I wish I were more like them.
You typed it in lowercase, but I think you mean SNL. As in Saturday Night Live, where SNL is an acronym which are always capitalized. Personally, I don't care if someone looks over at me. I'm very comfortable with who I am.
