the torture dance in less funny without context because you can say to yourself well that doesnt make sense but in the show it probably does, but then with the context theres no escape, it makes no sense
They are passing time while the guy (Zucchero) is being tortured by the sun. I don't think the dance enhances the torture a whole lot. Maybe it conveys to him that they take pleasure in his suffering.
@@cutecommie I mean you're right but not exclusively right, if you get what I mean,like yeah the torture dance could be there for many reasons but it could also just be there for the sake of being there and we are talking about jojo and araki, but the way you see and interpret it is up to you so yeah your right but not entirely. And also I think the dance adds alot in many ways
The fact is that the torture dance has no context even when you see the whole episode. It just happens and is never brought up or questioned by anyone ever again
i first saw the torture dance because youtube recommended it to me. i knew it was jojo bc i recognized the characters who are pretty known but i didn’t understand shit. i hoped for it to make sense in the actual anime. then comes the time when i watch part 5. the torture dance ends, i press pause. i still can’t understand shit.

Dumping a road roller on an opponent if you can & are trying to kill them is not bizzare at all. The way DIO says it is funny, but it's not really that bizzare for anime. DIO digging through his own skull with his finger might be though.
He needed an indirect way to attack jotaro to avoid risk of getting hit, using something hard to resist the punches of the stand and expecting the crush would kill Jotaro. Not the best of plans but it makes some sense.
Some of them don't even really make sense with context and I think that's exactly why we like those scenes so much. You could call this show a bizarre adventure to watch.
