In the 2008 Homestead race. Kurt Busch made a pit stop after an accident, and IIRC he proceeded to get almost every pit-road penalty in the book in one go. (Illegal entry, entering when pit road was closed, too fast entering, too many men over the wall, etc.)
Joey Logano being wrecked by Matt Kenseth is one of the very rare iconic nascar moments of the 2010s. Seeing the crowd’s reaction makes the incident that much more amazing
"The problem with taking from somebody when you have nothing to gain is that one day that person may have nothing to lose." -EmpLemon on the Joey Logono vs. Matt Kenseth drama
8:01 This miss was ridiculous. Mere centimeters between him and Dillon and centimeters between him and Kyle, and then to be able to keep it going after the gravel and dirt, insane from Kurt.
I was there for bristol. I could not tell you how wet and muddy it was that day. They had all the crown vics out packing it down and they even had 2 or 3 late models out trying to dry it out. And then this happened. Once it started raining they just called it off.
I really hope that the jack from Joey's car, is now in a museum at that teams office. Just pure badass from being able to keep that car from spinning with it under it.
If Almirola didin't clear himself, he mighta won it. He really had a big run, don't really blame him for clearing himself. It was the last few feet of the race. Go for it. It almost paid off.
I was at that race in talledega. I was hoping that he would have been penalized for taking equipment out of the box. but some people can get by the rules. NOT a logano fan. LOL
Not really, it’s just much more exciting than any other motorsport. Those stock cars are the greatest race cars to me, they are so heavily dependent on the drivers. No other motorsport is like that, except with rally being the closest. Still, rally cars are very, very light and stock cars are heavy and much more powerful.
8:16 ok... thats gotta take the cake . all the other clips i can understand..... but THAT!!! even seeing how he was bumped into the wall, ETC i cant understand it . it looks like a video game..... or the bat-mobile turning on its suction and driving on the roof of a tunnel just insane
@@YOUNGCVRROT Not really that absurd, it is a very serious safety hazard. In 1999 there were a couple of open-wheel races in which several spectators were killed after tires flew off the cars and into the grandstands.
They do because someone didn’t put the wheel on properly. It’s dangerous and it will cause crashes if another car is hit by a wheel. They get suspended for the pit crew not being safe.
About that first clip of Bubba Wallace losing his wheel on the track... 3 of his crew members, including crewchief Booty Barker, were handed a 4 race ban for the incident - yep, NASCAR doesn't like that shit... So one could say...Booty got the boot there. XD
