It sure is eye opening when you see both the joy and suffering of the Lord...and you have faithfully dived in to live it and I know the heart of Jesus is blessed by your laid-down life. Would you have a choice? Who wants to suffer? No one. Not even Jesus. In our flesh, it is impossible. However, just the fact that you ask that question tells that in your heart, you are willing. More than likely, in that moment, your heart would turn to him in humble submission. And he would be your strength. 🧡
This is definitely a message for the church today. I was totally unprepared for the suffering that I have been walking through in recent months (although sounds like peanuts compared to what is happening in Mozambique). God bless Heidi, Randy and teams.
Weeping with you. I feel the pain of the sufferings of these fellow Christians in that part of the world. God strengthen Heidi as she walks along with these people. Give her the joy of serving them with You.
Thank you for sharing this. Helps us remember to pray for Iris and Mozambique even more. Also helps us to remember God's heart for unity and not to "eat our family" like Heidi shared in a recent message.
Amazing how suffering for His sake requires courage only He can give....but also available to the pastors in the West who especially can’t muster up enough to preach about it and prepare their own people. I have preached it in small and large groups and one-on-one for fifty years....and have longed for preachers with courage to do the same....seeing literally NONE until very recently, by a mere handful that includes Heidi. Thank you for this, Randy! Wake up, you spoiled Church, and wake up your shepherds to the REAL gospel and the REAL Jesus. Pull up your pants and run towards the suffering that brings the crown and supernatural joy of Jesus! He is the only worthy One Who suffered beyond measure to give you eternal life!

So heart breaking to hear this. Americans need to be listening...because the "joy and suffering" is coming to America to a degree. People who aren't prepared for it will have a very hard time dealing with it when it comes.
Praying for brothers and sisters. Thank you for sharing that you Love the one in front of you. This is so powerful as the needs and pain are beyond anything we can comprehend.

When walking with the Lord, suffering does not make sense until it has been endured voluntarily. He refines us like silver with the fire of affliction.

All I do know is that folks just sit upon God's lap and ask for things as if HE IS santa! That has not been my experience and I asked Him into my innermost being. I believe the beatitudes are living promises and this is that which He will bring to pass
Thank you for this precious testimonies. Awakening. It is time to get us filled with perfect love so we could give glory to Jesus under any circumstances. Oh God I am willing to receive that cup of joy and suffering. It’d be my privillage.

Jesus. Forgive me for not being as willing to suffer as I should. We must weep with those who weep and…. Bless Iris ministries Lord. Help them to feel joy and give the sustainable energy of Holy Spirit. Amen
Hello Christine. Andrew here. I cannot imagine your pain. But if you had him covered with Jesus' Blood, then he was and is in Jesus' hands. And Jesus knows what he is doing. I do not know the circumstances of your loss, but I would encourage you: Give ALL your grief to Jesus. Go to Psalm 30: 10 -12
I felt for a long time that especially in the US, there was an era of what I called "cotton candy Christianity" that started about 2010 and didn't let up until last year. I think it will always be an issue, but I do hope for more balance in the years to come.
May God bless all pure souls seeking Him and His Truth. May God send His Holy Angels to guard and protect the meek. We shall ALL meet in Paradise in 2027 A.D. or shortly before. May God's Agape Love envelope every kind, pure, and innocent soul on Earth. For only then we can see God face to face. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Agape Love to all until we meet in Paradise.
Joy and suffering; the same cup. Yes. "While outwardly we perish, inwardly we're being renewed day by day" (Paul the Apostle, my paraphrase, because I don't feel like looking up the exact wording). On a more practical note, what is the government situation that they are allowing this? What are the circumstances of the war? Anyone?
They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, presuming he was dead. But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. And the next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe. They preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith. “We must endure many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said. Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church, praying and fasting as they entrusted them to the Lord, in whom they had believed. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you
It's troubling to hear this Sister talk of deaf people being healed. Deaf people hearing may be exciting for the "Ministry" but it is not so for the deaf ppl. They are only limited in relation to communication with hearing ppl. In over 40 years of being married to a culturally accepted hearing person I've only heard about 2 prelingually deaf ppl actually being healed from their deafness, and both of them asked the Lord for their deafness to return. He answered those prayers in both cases.
Your post touched my heart. I love the message of Heidi. I am challenged with healing too. In the West we pray for the same miracles and they don’t happen. We have a Christian friend who has a deaf child who has been prayed for who remains deaf. One wonders if we haven’t fasted enough worthy enough etc. This is daunting for us Christian’s because how many sick people do we pray for and give them false hope and leave them spiritually scared? I am in Melbourne Australia. Very connected to People here who trained with Bill Johnson Todd White. Heidi is part of the same movement. My husband trusts Iris ministry and I support him. How can you see suffering and not help. I just pray Jesus helps us all with wisdom and understanding to battle on.
While the story is being told I kept asking God and myself can not the evil be rebuked ? I understand God's ways are higher than ours but God is also greater and able to destroy the enemy. She never considered commanding the enemy to be cast away. People die from lack of knowledge. Is it not true we suffer because we do not accept the authority Jesus gave us. Think of the OT prophets. They would call down the Lord of hosts to destroy the enemy. They exemplify God's love and I can not grasp it myself. But is there not a higher calling to defeat the enemy for His glory. Is not God all powerful and given us authority ? In this story they seemed to never consider that a million angels were waiting at their command. A million Lord of host ready for battle. What were all the examples in the OT about except to show God's ability to destroy any who would attack His children. Is it possible ISIS could have been destroyed standing with God ? And all of Africa would know and fear the Lord our God as He protected just as He protected the Israelites ? I can not see myself as loving as all of those described but it's still in my mind......my people perish for lack of knowledge.
God showed Paul everything that he must suffer for His name sake. We are promised persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12 All who live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. We have the armor and we must put it on because we are in a war. In war there are casualties. The devil has great ability without authority. Much like a thief can enter a bank and walk out with the money because of ability but without authority. Someone with authority can show up and fight and win and that is what Heidi and her team are doing. They aren't doing everything perfectly but they continue to fight and God is pleased. I am inspired by her honest humility about the struggle to push through human weakness and continue to love the one in front of her. The best thing we can do is get our hands in the fight and get some of our own testimonies. Only then can we speak with understanding and experiential knowledge. I know that the Jesus living in me has authority over everything in heaven and on earth and He told me to go in His name and heal the sick, cast out devils and raise the dead. So far I have not seen every one I have laid hands on jump up healed but I still know that if Jesus laid hands on them they would and that He told me to do it, so I will keep obeying and the more I do the more I will see. We just have to start somewhere and our faith is like a muscle that grows the more that we use it.
