From the 2003 album "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone" Ex Eagles bassist Randy Meisner collection of previously unreleased studio recordings from the 80's & 90's.
Randy was the best of the Eagles. Known as the sweetest man to work with. That's why I found it so heartbreaking he was estranged from his kids. Such a shame.
For me Randy Meisner is the best among all the founders of the Eagles. He wanted to be with his family in Nebraska. He love his family. Wishing you all the best Randy good health and happy life. Love you Randy Meisner.
One Amazon reviewer quoted Don Felder as saying something similar about Henley, but if Mr. Felder really did say that, he missed it. The reviewer agrees with you as do I.
Randy I've stated over a nd over. your voice is iconic, the greatest in the music business. you sung circles around the Eagels, and for that matter eveyone else. I love you,Randy .
The golden Eagle that is magic. This song is beautiful. The whole CD is. Wish he would go through the unreleased works and see what gems he can find. It's a tragedy that he no longer sings. What a tremendous voice!!
The Most Underrated Vocalist that I could ever recall. Awesome on the bass guitar. A gentleman to all. He was treated like shit by the Eagles namely Frey and Henley. These two were only medicore, at best, on ther own. Randy, Bernie Leadon, Don Felder, Joe Walsh, Timothy Schmidt made the Eagles. Frey was the main orginator of the group, but it was Linda Ronstadt that influenced him into starting the group in the beginning. Henley was only a "hired drummer" with medicore vocal talents, at best. He was the ring leader in the instability of the Eagles early on. Frey who was not a leader, was soon overwhelmed by Henley. Just wanted to give a little background on what Randy Meisner was up against early on.
Only My Randy MEISNER IS THE EAGLE. WITH TO MUCH FELLING AND LOVE IN HIS VOICE Randy I CHANGE YOU NAME. LOVE MEISNER. THANKS MY ONLY GOLD. EAGLE ONLY YOU YOUR PUBLIC WE LOVE YOU YOU WILL NEVER 💕 DESAPIER
Much better than Steve Perry. Not even in the same ballpark in my humble opinion! Randy is my favorite singer always. Top notch bc his music cannot only be heard it is deeply felt♡♡ Meis is best hands down!!
I can't put a finger on it. I never thought I'd say this since I was always a huge fan of Mr. Perry, but something about Mr. Meisner's voice has recaptured me. I say recaptured because from day one I heard him on radio at age 9 I was hooked. And I hadn't even heard "Take It to the Limit" yet! No disrespect, because I think Mr. Perry and everyone I've counted as favorites are great vocalists, but there's something in this underrated gem's delivery, perhaps warm in the lower range as well as passionate in the mid- and high range without the need to perform any additional acrobatics to get the message across. Maybe that doesn't make any sense. I'm trying to figure it out myself. I just wish he'd done what Perry did--gone on hiatus and worked on himself right after the 1978 album. Maybe he'd still be blessing us with that beautiful voice today.
