Randy, you screwed the pooch when you placed your ego boost above Carmel’s well being. You could have handed her your suggested without interposing yourself into Carmel’s appointment!

Randy and Nicole were both wrong. If Carmela needed help, she would have asked for it. You just don't take over another consultant's appt. But Carmela should have been more discreet and not said anything in front of the bride.

Randy was WRONG! So was Nicole who was just another person in the mix. They should not have stepped in and had contact with the bride. They should have suggested the dress to Carmel and let her bring it in. One consultant is quite enough. That being said, Carmel should have spoken to Randy and Nicole outside the hearing of the bride. It's cringeworthy to air a grievance in front of the customer. If all Randy was interested in was picking the dress, he did not have to jump in and take credit in front of the bride. It was a hijack, plain and simple. It doesn't matter who gets the commission. You have to show trust in your staff. Otherwise, why hire them?

Honestly, Carmel absolutely shouldn't have had the argument in front of the bride, but at the same time, it's pretty inappropriate in the same breath for Randy to have swooped in when she didn't need help yet and snipe the commission.

Randy and Nicole shouldn’t be interfering in Carmel’s appointment

Randy and the sales manager were the ones that acted totally inappropriately and should have minded their own business unless asked for help. It must be frustrating to have someone that butts into your appointment without being asked. I’m sure they are paid on commission which makes it even more inappropriate for Randy and the sales manager to try and walk into the dressing room with dresses and takeover an appointment. It makes the bridal consultant look incompetent in front of the bride. If the bridal consultant is new allow her the chance to “spread her wings” and get some experience under her belt without the two butt-in-skis. As we have seen in other episodes Randy doesn’t have the monopoly on what a bride wants each and every time. Looks like new bridal consultant is being ganged up on and should probably look for another job where there are not so many hens in the hen house.

"whatever that is" how condescending Randy. You know you've heard of Wicca before. Though I am a little unsure of what fairies in Wicca have to do with each other. I think it was Randy and Nicole that were inappropriate crashing into the other girls appointment.

That consultant should not have done what she did. She was 100% inappropriate. I don’t think she’s a good consultant anyway.

Honestly, when they kept butting in, I would have just said that I quit since clearly ego is more important than the bride. Love Randy, but he needs to stop getting in the middle and making sure his dress is the pick.

In my humble opinion the dresses Carmell had chosen looked better than Randy's picks (and the dress the Bride chose at the end).

as a bride I would have walked out. Having them compete would put too much pressure. He COULD have presented the dresses outside the room and let Carmel bring them in. Stand back and listen to her feedback and go get more dresses, all while letting Carmel take the lead. Find it funny that "airing dirty laundry" in front of client is inappropriate but steam rolling over the appt is NOT.

I had a handmade dress with wings for a fairy theme wedding. It was incredible. Not all can pull it off.

Its not about the consultant's ego, its about finding the client the right dress.

As much as he is such a nice guy in most of these videos in this video he came across as narcissistic in the sense that he just had to be the one to get the dress. It really wasn’t about making someone happy or really helping it was about himself in this video and getting the credit and was really off putting to do that to that consultant.

We dont know whsts gone on before this. Maybe with Carmel being new, she hadnt made many sales. I dont see rudeness from Randy and Nicole. Carmel does come over as a little conceited. She got the commission in the end so was happy

I love Randy, but that was very inappropriate of him, to me it felt like that he was in a competition to outdo Carmel, to show the world that he’s doing a better job than anyone else. And it had nothing to do with ‚team work‘, as he nicely put it, that was just he’s ego.

I love Randy, but this was wrong. Even if she’s new, you need to let her spread her wings and make her own choices. By coming in as a senior consultant and recommending dresses, you undermine the original consultant.

They were overhelpful. I didn't like the pics Carmel picked. Randy and Nicole are very knowledgeable about the stockroom. Randy isn't commission based.

Boy… reading through the comments regarding this appointment just blows my mind. While Carmell didn’t ask for the help, any help in such an environment, asked for or not, should be looked at as team work. At the end it was obvious that Carmell appreciated the assistance. As Randy said, the consultant gets the commission regardless of who finds the Brides dress.

I can't stand Carmel. She's new on this episode but just about every episode I've seen her in she's acting completely snarky and rude, especially about Randy. It's his job to help the consultants but she thinks she's too good to have help. I really hate her attitude! It's ridiculous because she still gets the commission, no matter how much he helps her.in every single episode i can think of, she wouldn't have made a sale without him because the brides always say no to what she pulls.

I am sorry, but every time one of the episodes includes Carmel, who is a newbie, I can see why Randy and Nicole, who have been with Kleinfelds for years and are part of the senior consultant team, would get somewhat involved. Carmel is easily offended by that and it shows. She still needs to prove herself as being worthy of working on her own and at that point, I suspect Randy and Nicole will step away and only help when asked. There is a definite hierarchy at Kleinfelds and Carmel is still at the very bottom. Best to welcome their expertise as it applies to how Kleinfelds has operated for years, and not argue in front of the client. Reminds me of my early years in the Navy. Quite often someone would tell me to so something different and outside of the norm as far as protocol. You can bet a member of the senior leadership team is going to step in to make sure protocol is not compromised by a less experienced enlisted petty officer or a junior officer. All still learning themselves how to effectively lead their folks to ensure the mission at hand is achieved.
