I got so sick of listening to the new country music I just stopped listening to the radio, I just found this on youtube and shocked to see that Josh Turner, Randy Travis sang together their voices blend so beautifully together, I'm on cloud nine, I could go on and on but I need to get to sleep!
Stick0413 I think Randy respected Josh for the passion he had when he sang His songs like digging up bones An Josh was just happy he’s hanging with Randy Travis 😆
I’m not a Country music fan by any stretch of the imagination, but this song is flawless. The world is surely worse off not having Randy’s voice to give us jewels like this
Priceless !!! God, how I admire these younger male country singers who are doing these duets to and pulling Randy Travis back up on stage where we can all sing and clap for 'em !
Last night, I dug your picture out from my old dresser drawer I set it on the table and I talked to it 'til four I read some old love letters right up 'til the break of dawn Yeah, I've been sittin' alone, diggin' up bones Then I went through the jewelry and I found our wedding rings I put mine on my finger and I gave yours a fling Across this lonely bedroom of our recent broken home Yeah, tonight, I'm sittin' alone, diggin' up bones I'm diggin' up bones (diggin' up bones) I'm diggin' up bones (diggin' up bones) Exhumin' things that's better left alone I'm resurrectin' memories of a love that's dead and gone Yeah, tonight, I'm sittin' alone, diggin' up bones And I went through the closet and I found some things in there Like that pretty negligee that I bought you to wear And I recall how good you looked each time you had it on Yeah, tonight, I'm sittin' alone, diggin' up bones I'm diggin' up bones (diggin' up bones) I'm diggin' up bones (diggin' up bones) Exhumin' things that's better left alone I'm resurrectin' memories of a love that's dead and gone Yeah, tonight, I'm sittin' alone, diggin' up bones I'm resurrectin' memories of a love that's dead and gone Yeah, tonight, I'm sittin' alone, diggin' up bones (diggin' up bones) I'm diggin' up bones (diggin' up bones) Exhumin' things that's better left alone I'm resurrectin' memories of a love that's dead and gone Yeah, tonight, I'm sittin' alone, diggin' up bones (diggin' up bones) I'm diggin' up bones (diggin' up bones) Exhumin' things that's better left alone I'm resurrectin' memories of a love that's dead and gone Yeah, tonight, I'm sittin' alone, diggin' up bones
If life told me that I could only listen to one country artist. It would be Randy Travis. Country music lost a great artist to a stroke. God bless that man.
Real country music doesn't go out of style. Just like in the Urban Cowboy Era,the Bro Country Era is a fad. It will come to pass, and the fans will come back to a more traditional sound. For example,"Does anyone remember Exile? They were big during the Urban Cowboy Era and now almost all their records are out of print. Contrast that with George Strait, almost all of his albums are still available. Kudos to Josh Turner for keeping his traditional sound. Randy Travis came out in 1986. A magical year for country music. Dwight Yoakham,Lyle Lovett, and Steve Earle all made their debut that year. All of these guys are still recording today. Will the hitmakers of today still be making music nearly 30 years on? I doubt it.
+sarahstacy81 I have to tell you... comparing bro-country to Exile is a terrible thing to do. bro-country is WAY better than Exile. I listened to an Exile song for about 20 seconds before deciding this.
I re listen to this series frequently seems. A country legend and country great battling over memorable tones. Seems like my top 40 instantly recognizable country icons are always fighting for #1. God bless America

Larry Wallace you can clearly see many times in this show the admiration that Josh has for Randy when he looks at him , and you can tell that Randy is really having a great time singing with Josh, totally awesome combination
I agree with both your statements, it's not everyday that you get to sing with someone that you've looked up to for decades! I can also see the clear passion these to shared which is a prime example of how to properly bridge the gap between New Country Music and Classic Country Music
U 2 are prime examples of "gentlemen". My life has been filled with habit horrors.yet your songs say the words my Mother's eyes deserve to know when she thinks my habits have no heart.Thank You
Josh turner just has a natural voice that is pure and randy has a raspy but still elegant and beautiful voice and they make an amazing pair. I wish randy could still sing today id pay whatever the price of admission is for me to see him in person
