I'm terminally sick and it's given me severe night terrors extreme ptsd with suicidal tendencies extreme depression and anxiety this was a result from a work injury, and I can't thank you enough, I'm in some dark places every day, I've tried and failed 3 times from ending my life, this would set my wife and son free from this awful place I've put them in. I listen to Randy every night his voice takes all the Demon voices away and I can't thank this man enough. I will never see this man on this planet to say thankyou. My boyfriend is a truck driver and I think of the song often we have seen so many crosses on the highway and I think of Jesus when I see those crosses on a hill and then I know Jesus is with us! Randy Travis must have been in his tour bus and thought of this song.

This is a great song and he is one of the best. My sister loved it too. Before she died on Sep 29 she asked me to sing this song at her funeral. I sang this one and silver wings by Merle Haggard. It was tough to do.

I felt so sand when I read about his fight with alcoholism at the point that he was found completely naked, actually near the highway. He faces charges for assaulting an officer that attended the complaint of a person who told the police about somebody naked in such place. This song is just beautiful and Randy is a great performer. May the Lord help him win his battles.

This is one of the few true country songs of the 21st Century thus far. Randy is more country than nearly all of "Today's Country. He and a handful of others keep the music coming. When he had health problems I was concerned that we might lose another of a vanishing group real country arties. This is a real good song done at a time when country is not cool to the majority.

Our drama club put on a Country Tribute show a few years ago and that was one of the songs they sang. One member, who is deaf and does not always wear her hearing aids, heard/misheard/misinterpreted the song and was enraged and ready to march back and forth in front of the stage with a sign that read "Give the hooker her cross too!"

I remember seeing Randy Travis in el Centro California back in the 80's. Was at the dennys eating with my stepfather. I looked at my dad and said that's Randy Travis he didn't believe me.. later that night while driving through the hotel parking lot we saw a bus that said Randy Travis tour. Come to find out he was there filming a Pepsi commercial.
