Very risky doing it this way, you are just praying the cams don't move. There is no keyway on the crank timing pulley on this motor so the timing pulley on the crank can move if the valve springs make the cams turn once the crank bolt is loosened even if the chain isn't removed or loosened. I've fixed a bunch of motors that people screwed up doing this. Lock the cams or at least pull the vacuum pump and mark the intake cam so you know the cams haven't moved.
@@destruxxx bro the cam can't moving if you make the piston 1 and 4 in the top (PMH). And I'm not frist time do this work. So it easy for me. You can Learn this method. Just follow what's in the Learn this method. Just follow what's in the video.
Hello I have same job was wanting to order special timing tool I have never done this job but you make it look easy what happens if the flywheel moves from Mark how would you turn? With skrewdriver through same mark opening?
The camshaft timing can jump as soon as the crankshaft bolt is loosened. The crank gear is NOT keyed to the crankshaft. On this engine, the crank gear is only held in place by the tightness of the bolt and the diamond friction washers.
