The exterior looks like a bad case of photoshop. This design suits the Velar which is meant to be sleek and elegant, but the Evoque is meant to be more fun loving and bold, this new one looks like a baby Velar
They shouldn't have spoiled the beauty of the Velar by doing this. Every time I look at the Velar I am amazed, when I look at this I am disgusted that Land Rover spoiled the exclusivity of the Velar
@Violet Phoenix the old one had its own unique character especially when it first came out in 2012, if you know what i mean, the new one is more than amazing, but its more like a baby velar
I've had both, 2017 SE Tech and now a 2020 HSE. The new one is a massive upgrade on the original. All the previous faults sorted and a great place to be.
The old one is still amazing, but the new one is the technology of the now, plus it's still better than my mini. I would love to test drive the new. Thank you for sharing his video.
My wife had the old one (2017) and just got the new one (2020), well I prefer the old one hands down, more quality overall (interiors too) and looks wise the old one was hot, the new one looks cheap and not worth the over 50k$ they want to take it home. Only improvement is the sound of the engine (not much), even the performances are worse since the new one is way heavier even though it looks smaller.

Why did they get rid of the awesome pop up dial shifter and replace it with a way too tall shifter sticking up from the middle of nothing. It's in the way of touching the bottom screen. ..... FAIL Other that, it's a sharp looking baby Velar.
My thoughts exactly - the gear dial is a MUCH cleaner look than the stick. These are just prototypes - lets hope they put the dial back in come production time. Otherwise yes breathtaking - best compact SUV by far. I have a 13 Evoque and I love it more and more every day - if that's even possible.
Yes..I have a 2014 dynamic two door and the first thing I saw that made me cry was the new shifter smh.. would have given the new model a 10 but they dropped the ball on that aspect of the vehicle
Anybody notice the fugly stick-shift that has replaced the knob that disappeared into the console. Now you have to reach around the stick-shift to do things on the dash. Bring back the round knob !!!
Yes, stupid stick, but stupid knob also. Just 5 flat buttons to be able to directly change the setting of the automatic transmission. But: what to do with manual transmission cars ?

But does it have a trailer hitch yet? The old one doesn't either! We just wanted to be able to use our bike carrier. The Land Rover dealer quoted me a price of $350 for the factory hitch and $900 to install it! Said it would take 5 hours. BS. Bought an after market e-trailer hitch for $200 and installed myself. Took me an hour and half!
El nuevo modelo es espectacular en tecnología y diseño , sin embargo la disrrupcion la consiguió el modelo anterior . Está todavía en nuestra mente ,fue rompedor en diseño y ha dejado huella, el Evoque es irremplazable .

They are exact same. If you own a black pack Dynamic then the only cosmetic changes are head and tail lamps and interior is the screens. Everything else looks the same. We already parked them next to each other at the dealer.
I have the old , the new shift sucks 😆. I'm glad I have the old one but both very similar , not sure I like the new finish , looks more ovalish vs squarish on the old one. I'm keeping the old one. 🤙🏻😎
I completely agree.... The previous ones interior shift knob is way nicer... And the lines in the previous model also make the car look sharper.... New one isn't bad at all... Just is almost to bubbly looking (if that makes sense)
Is it just me or the back of the New one looks a bit boxier. It's old one had the perfect tail lights to compliment the bulk. But now lights are sleeker and the back looks plain and boxy...
I think landrover has cocked up, think the old one is much better looking, I dont also care for the new interior and gearstick. Reading the comments I feel its the general consensus. I wonder if new sales will reflect this. Silly landrover.
