That sounds great! What kind of tune did you use, what kind of air intake, and did you put on a smaller pulley wheel? I have a 2013 RRSSC that I'm looking get more sound and power out of. Thank you in advance
I have a 2010 Supercharged full size with just an end muffler delete and its still loud as f*** and crackles and pops. So if you ever want something a little quieter at low rpm/ highway cruising but will blow your ear drums when you get into the higher rpms, leaving the resonators and just taking off the huge muffler at the end is a great option. But that set up you have sounds nice so I don't blame you for running it as your daily.
Hey, I know it's been 3 years already but I am looking to buy this range rover, rumors say that old Land Rovers tend to break often. Is it true? If so, what should I look out for when buying?
@@Dan-tq4nj my range have been pretty reliable to be honest. Got mine at 96k miles and I'm at 130k now and I've had almost no problems others than my CV axle snapping due to the part being installed incorrectly. In terms of looking for the best of the best, stick to the 2010+ models in the L322 lineup. They have the same motor as the late 5th gen Ford mustang GT (5.0 Coyote), and the supercharged models make 510 hp. Thats the model I have and I leave most cars in the dust at stop lights lol. The main thing on these models though is that you HAVE TO MAKE SURE THE TIMING CHAIN WAS REPLACED IF IT HAS 90K+ MILES. This is hands down the most important thing to check for. If it hasn't been replaced in that timeframe, the motor could grenade at any moment. Also, if you care anything about a locking rear diff for extra performance, get the VIN and call landrover and have them check to see if the model has it. It's a worthwhile upgrade. Makes a massive difference in wet/ snowy/ muddy conditions.
@@cnorth12 Thanks for this knowledge haha. Yea gotta check the timing chain when buying, but is it the faulty chain or the mechanism that connects to that chain? Otherwise yea I like the more modern versions of the RRS, so anything from 2010 to 2012. Yesterday was walking outside and saw a RRS Autobiography, it's so beautiful and looks aggressive. So yea, gonna get that big boy v8 from ford and show your comment to my father (who thinks RR's are unreliable) lol. Also, when driving casually on automatic, does your transmission switch below 2.5k RPM? I care about fuel efficiency sometimes :)
@@Dan-tq4nj technically, it's the timing chain tensioner that fails, which let's the timing chain flop around loose causing it to snap unexpectedly. Luckily the replacement is only required every 90-100k which isn't bad, almost every car has some critical maintenance item at that mileage. And you mentioned you like the RRS, only thing I'll say about those is that they're based on a different platform than the full sized range and they're smaller/ some components are less beefy. The full size is where it's at in terms of build quality, and tbh I think the full size tail lights look better.
You have done a really nice Job! I have RRS 2009 but 2,7 diesel all black but my wish is to have so one strong as yours! Really Really nice car also all in black! However as RR owner, sometimes RR can be pain in the ass because repair can cost real much. I have in mine in the first two years over 3.500 euro invested! Best Regards from Austria! This is car for wish list people!
i have a 2011 same truck as yours not the limited tho mine is supercharged as well so the funny thing is i have a porsche boxster s a NISSAN 370z an fisker ocean electric car on order but i cant stop driving may range rover man!! i did the same mods as u and i love my crackles and pops its fast as hell it can run with and SRT k&n AIR FILTERS exaust mod 5w50 oil is a must engine gets to how with the factory stuff cam chains dont like the factory stuff.
Hey man, I’ve seen multiple people asking for what type of wheels those are, and you haven’t answered. Can you please let us know what wheels are they? I have the same exact truck 2013 Range Rover sport supercharged limited edition. Black as well but has the red fender inlets
Hey my man, very nice truck you have there. I have a 2012 Range Rover all motor & I want to also do a muffler delete... so you really get that much sound by simply removing the 2 resenators/mufflers in the middle?
about to buy one under 50K…any recommendations pleaseeee? anything i should check for before getting it? i’m buy from carmax so hopefully overall it’s in great shape
Carmax is good but I’d take it to the rover dealer for full PPI ! They are great but finicky and expensive to run ! If your ok with that you will enjoy :)
Watch out for that timing chain. mine failed at just over 100k. No chatter warning and it haooened under completely normal driving. 100% engine failure. Ive owned 2 RR's and the fact this can just happen and render the vehicle 100% useless with a 16-20,000$ repair is absolutely absurd. I paid 13k for mine...
