OK lee thanks again that explains why the colors were showing up like that thanks for the prompt response now I’m trying to find a location for the camera module trying to locate a longer power cord for that module to get back to the flight controller in any event have a great day my friend I’ll be talking at you
This man is a gift. We must protect him at all cost when the zombies take over. I've been having a hard time figuring out ELRS on my Tandem X18. I have found MULTIPLE ELRS scripts in various places, but none worked for my radio. Then LEE sent me a script file. I immediately got everything running perfectly. I gave up about a week ago, and only tried his scripts this morning. seriously, SD card ---> Radio on ---> Working.
I bought the Hee Wing T1 Ranger PnP some time ago with the prospect of buying and building the VTOL edition. However my limited experience especially with flight computers etc. put me off. Now with your very detailed instructions I changed my mind and will buy the VTOL kit and follow the lessons. Will there be instructions about flight computer , ardupilot etc .?
Awesome build, Lee! Looking forward to the next part! 😃 I hope they start to sell it as a kit, without the need to buy 2 things! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊 Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Can this Matek F405 VTOL flight controller be used in a plane that has not been converted to VTOL? Is it capable of all of the features of other flight controllers like return to home, auto takeoff, stabilization modes, etc? Or does this flight controller give up a lot of normal features to make room for the VTOL features?
This should be an interesting series. I know nothing about VTOL firmware. Is there a specific reason you're choosing ardupilot for this build? Best of the season to all.
I'm guessing you are not a regular viewer of the channel, Ardupilot is one of the very few flight control firmwares that can do VTOL. Make sure you are subscribed and stay tuned!
@@Painless360 Thanks for the information. I've actually been subscribed and watching your stuff about quads for about 2 years now. I've done a couple dozen scratch betaflight quad builds and one with arducopter, but I'm just starting my 1st fixed wing build tomorrow (Ar Wing PRo, thanks to you). I knew ardupilot could do VTOL, but wasn't sure if iNav could which you often use in other projects. Of course I could just wait and watch the videos ;-)
'Hi lee it’s Steve again down here in Florida I told you a friend of mine had one of these he wings out at the field with the DJI goggles the other day let me look at it I thought it was the greatest thing since butter and bread so needless to say I’m trying to put one together I pretty much found all the parts except one I don’t know why everybody is out of the crossfire equipment but that’s what I’m looking for and maybe you have one over that way whatever country you’re in and maybe it’s possible I can order one and buy so what I’m looking for is tbs crossfire nano tx starter kit. I would be very grateful if you know where I might get one of these or some of your subscribers may know look forward to seeing the rest of the videos on this vtol kit thanks again Steve
I really appreciate your build video 🙏 It took me only a few hours to get the nacelles built. I was wondering if you have found the rear motor to heat up that much to a point where it’s necessary to have it installed on the boom instead of inside the fuselage.
Hi Lee it’s Steve again no the quick question this was going to be for the GPS and The wire harness that comes in the package when you crimp on the pins at the end of the wire obviously I’m trying to match up where the pins go in the clip to make sure that the letters on the side of the GPS match the flight controller letters looking at yours Your last color wire is blue and mine is yellow I don’t know if what I’m saying is making any sense or not but as long as you match TX and RX to the flight controller you should be fine right OK thanks a lot Steve once again. This is my wire harness from left to right. R=5v / B=G / Y=rx / B=tx / W= da / G=cl When I look at your picture it’s the RX and TX that’s throwing me off a little bit in relation to my wire harness
@@Painless360 yes , the T1 conversation kit with a F405 wing vtol flight controller, question, what controls forward and backward flight in qloiter mode , does the motors pitch or does it operate like a quad
That is academic if you can't get the motors to spin using the motor check in Mission Planner. Yaw is controlled by the pitch of the front motors, side to side and back to front as as a regular MR..
@@TERBANGFPV OK, so those pads do not control how much power goes to the ESC's, they measure amp draw. Up to 132 amps it says on the website. You can solder all 3 ESC's to those 2 pads or even just 1 set of the pads. The WSE has 10 PWM connections so you can use S1,S2, and configure S3 for motor control. You can certainly use this controller. I spent a LOT of time on Ardupilot's website learning about setting up the PWM outputs for what function you need. Everything after that was pretty easy. Lee is doing more great videos to help people through this process.
@@DLJ2022 I've been told and found in a couple of forums that it HAS to be switched into a "Stabilized" mode from Q_stab. I've flown it many times since and as long as I go into FBWA or Stab modes it doesn't backflip. Guess Cruise isn't considered stabilized.....? Maybe they mean self leveling, not stabilized.
El modelo no está disponible como unidad RTF. En este momento necesita comprar el avión y el kit VTOL, agregar un controlador de vuelo y configurarlo usted mismo. ¡Feliz vuelo!
i will be watching here in florida iam doing one right now my self dont now anything about fpv i fly big planes so i need all the help i can get thanks
