have you ever considered that celtic are a very good team with a solid defensive unit,the fact we created many chances over the games and have kept it pretty tight over multiple games now since beale took over is a positive sign,the fact we havent taken them is another issue and hopefully one he fixes in the summer as are the defensive brain farts!
Sadly it was a game that incapsulated a whole season, nothing surprising, nothing new, the same mistakes and same team that has done this all season and landed us here in this position in the first place. Looking forward to the summer and let’s hopes Beale’s comments of “the biggest rebuild in years” comes to fruition because it needs to.

It's down to how they are trained, in terms of style and instruction. The pros have become complacent in defence and in goal scoring, more swayed by their wage packet than playing for the jersey. Rangers offer far too much money to players, this should be restructured to performance related pay.

My list for Summer Santa GK - New 1st choice, a massive unit who can control his box, come for crosses and play with his feet - McCrorie as 2nd choice - McGregor retire, McLaughlin release - Loan out Kieran Wright, we can't have another situation of a young keeper just sitting around for no reason, get him the experience he needs CB - New 1st choice, a massive unit who is powerful, commanding and a threat from set pieces - Goldson 2nd choice, Souttar 3rd choice, Davies 4th choice - Leon King will be a big player for us, but needs a season on loan LB - New 1st choice, someone who can actually defend and can also run with the ball - Offload Barisic - Keep Ridvan as backup, he has potential but I'm not too convinced so far RB - Competition for Tav, even he gave up for the last 10 mins today (more minutes for Devine?) CM - Keep Lundstram and Raskin, they bossed that midfield today (apart from Raskin letting them score) - Sell Kamara. Should have done 2 seasons ago, fantastic player but does not fit our style of play - Keep Jack but only as backup, great playee but can't rely on him as our main CM when he's injured 50% of the season - New box-to-box player who will shoot from range - Lawrence needs to get fit again ASAP, he doesn't shy away from a tackle so I would play him deeper AM - Keep Hagi and Cantwell, get Lowry fit ASAP - Keep Arfield, unless we can replace him with a younger player who has the same level of energy, hunger and attacking intelligence. Absolutely spot on i was hoping that Beale was going to take Morelos off on 60 minutes but once again he makes a meaningless sub on 85 minutes.The team that finished today should be starting all the next games with colak once he is fit.

I honestly hope that Kent and Morelos have played their last games in a Rangers shirt. Tillman, I don't believe he's the right fit mentally for the games against celtic and that means £5m can be spent elsewhere. There are far too many other players who deserve to pointed at this season for being nowhere near good enough the end result is celtic have probably won another treble unless the biggest miracle since the parting of the red sea happens and Inverness lift the cup.

Don’t underplay the role Tav has in our defensive weakness. He is part of our DEFENCE. Tav is front and centre of why we leak goals. He needs to be replaced. He scores goals but call me Old fashioned a defender that can’t defend is not worth having in the team. He needs dropped and be seen to be dropped.
Celtic fan & this is the only SPFL channel I watch on RU-vid. Always a fair summary win lose or draw - the content is legitimately entertaining and spot on. Very little between the sides yet again, mistakes and poor finishing by Rangers is a familiar tale.

The truth of the matter is we have better players & a far better Manager with a better philosophy on how to play the game it's as simple as that, Postecoglou is an Aussie who doesn't make excuses he grits his teeth & demands more from his players, Beale makes excuse after excuse, sometimes before a ball is kicked. Now where Rangers find the players to replace the dozen or so needing cleared out is another conundrum for their Board, who are already exhibiting financial distress signals, hence why they're leaving. We rebuilt an entire squad using fees brought in for Edouard, Christie, Ajer & didn't need to touch the Season Ticket money. That made us trully sustainable operation & the business model is working superbly as the money rolls in. Rangers don't have enough sellable assets to raise enough cash to do this or the business model to change things around so I can only see another repeat of this season next season & the season after that if we retain our Manager until Rangers get serious outside investment for players.

Spot on CJ, I couldn’t believe Kent wasn’t hooked before half time but Beale’s inexperience showed once more, team selection was poor, would never claim Arfield was a starter today but should have been on much earlier as he at least tries. Matondo has the pace to hurt them, Raskin removed from a functioning midfield. They attack as a team, we stutter going forward and let them organise themselves.
I think beale's hands were tied as he had to play Kent and Morelos as we didn't really have many options,had roofe or colak been fit it may have been different,both were gambles that failed!
I know where you’re coming from Ian but if Matondo or Wright played instead of Kent and Beale said it was because of Kent coming back from injury we would have accepted that. If he played Lovelace instead of Morelos and said it was Because he thought it would bring something else into the game, we would have accepted that. If he came out and said Kent and Morelos were out because they haven’t tried in months and won’t be here next season, we would have cheered him and took the consequences on the chin but to carry on doing the same thing and expect a different outcome is not smart.

I never saw the starting line up and thought it was wrong. Who were gonna lose there place to Matondo and Arfield? Arfield was on pretty early. I might have fitted Sakala into the team. If we had Carter-Vickers alongside Goldson we woulda won the league. 😂They just got a lead on us. Let's eat it up and go again next season brother.

Good video mate. I'm a celtic fan but can definitely imagine the last couple of old firms must been frustrating. Celtic's last 3 goals were gift wrapped as you said, and Rangers just not scoring great chances, repeatedly, must be a pain. Sakala doing his best to take the shite final ball award from Maeda (other than the goal of course) too. Kent and Morelos should be benched until they're away now. Cantwell, Raskin and Tillman are solid, need to hang on to them. Sidenote, the 3-2 was a robbery, Rangers scored 3 but had one chopped off for nothing, but again, they should never have given those two goals away.
I always come and watch your videos after an old firm as you’re very honest and not biased. Celtic are just a better team, everywhere on the park. Cantwell and Raskin to me have shown Beale has ideas of improvements out there, and if his favouritism can be eliminated either by the faves leaving or he himself finding new favourites then at least the team *should* move in the right direction.

Totally agree with your roundup. All season our attacking options have been poor and we can’t seem to sort out the mistakes we constantly are making. A fit Roof and I think some of these score lines would have been different. A lot of work needing done in the summer.
First thing Beale said in pre game interview was that he was confident. Truly confident people do not feel the need to say they are. I am not convinced. I think we will know within the first 3 or 4 games next season whether MB has what it takes.

Sakala miss was more mental than technical given his previous missed sitters. Rangers did stop and press us well and had big patches of control but it looked like Celtic knew you had no good goal scorers. Mostly Celtic matched your aggressive and physical approach and were more than a match.Beale shouldnt have played Moreloa and Kent as both looke unfit and unwilling for the battle.Beale does need to take his share.

We need 2 new left backs, a right back and Tav as back up to who comes in. We need a goalie, a CDM and a big strong no nonsense CB to partner Goldson. Minimum. Souttar is an injury lay off in waiting. I would sell while he is fit. Goldson would be fine with another big strong no nonsense defender next to him. Tav needs to be number 2 RB and not Captain next season. He would be a good squad man. Borna and Ridvan can go for me. I agree with everything else you said. We need a rebuild.

Have been a Rangers fan since I can remember. Grew up watching the like of John Greg, Derek Parlane, Russell,Cooper etc and many more greats over the years but some of the current crop of players we have are woeful and we need a massive change and somereal quality up front and at the back hopefully we will see that in the summer transfer window.
Hard to win a game with a defence which gifts goals and an attack devoid of a natural striker. No Rangers centre should ever score less than twenty in a season.
I think we're performing as you'd expect for a team where the playing staff has been neglected in favour of building a music venue and having a rookie manager. No surprises.

Tavernier and Barisic are never defenders. Identical mistakes are made by both in big games. I’d get rid of Barisic altogether but keep Tav because of his attacking abilities. Maybe move him up to attacking right midfield? I’m not sure Yilmaz is the answer at left back either. Need someone more accomplished next to - and more accomplished than - Goldson. Big Butland in goal, I’m up for that. I’d keep Tillman, that laddie will develop and bring us a fortune. Sakala tries his best but he’s not Rangers class. Morelos and Kent? I wouldn’t let them pull on that royal blue shirt ever again! I reckon they lost interest a long time ago. Mibs they think they’re too good for Scotland (part of me doesn’t blame them due to the low-block bore fest served up by most teams here). The rest? Time to move on, they don’t cut it, simple as that.

@@aarondeighton7938 yes we have made a lot of errors all season but outside of the goal yesterday we held the best attack in the division to minimal chances,which is no mean feat and over all the games vs celtic since beale took over we pretty much only have ourselves to blame for the goals conceded which again is an impressive achievement as without those errors you can write off all but 1 and that is arguable of Celtics goals in our last 4 meetings which again is worth noting! By no means a rock solid defence but if we can do that to Celtic over multiple games then it's not far away from being fixable with a player or 2 or just maintaining focus for 90 mins

As a celtic fan i personally think celtic won the first half and rangers was better in second half but they had no final product. But i feel like celtic kinda manage the second half very well espiecially when rangers looked dangerous.

Amazed at so many RFC fan sites that continually give Barisic a pass. Weak defensively, no bravery in use of the ball, has given numerous OF goals away by letting winger drift in unnoticed and worst of all, never tackles! He backs off and jockeys players rather than attempt to tackle. Surely we have to give Ridvan the last few games to see what he can bring?!

Lundstram at least showed heart, for most of the game. but he also showed a little lack of fitness and final finishing. Kent was shambolic. Morelos looked lazy and distracted. I love Sakala as a man and person, but this isnt the first time he has missed a sitter. Cantwell is becoming a personal favorite for me as he knows what it means to put the shirt on and play for Rangers, especially against them. I do believe in Tillman, but not happy about his limited time on the pitch. THANK YOU Arfield for putting his all on the line the entire time.
Today was the best I've seen Rangers play. Surprised at how well you managed to stop Celtic's midfield dictate & was surprised at Celtics inability to win the ball back which is a huge part of our game. The goal came from the referee once again failing to blow his whistle for a Celtic Free Kick. Up the other end & he's blowing that whistle 9 times out of 10. Maeda reacted as he wasn't expecting a whistle while Rangers players were. Still, Maeda is a freak. He's non stop & made the difference today.

glad Connor stayed last season. As glad as I'll be when Alfredo and Kent won't. If Carter-Vickers was alongside Goldson we'd have won the league. Our issues are defence. Two full backs that defend like Davie Cooper.

Our own mistakes have cost us the whole season, in every old firm. Cantwell, Raskin, Tav and Goldson are the only players today that should still be at the club next season. The rest are an embarrassment, simply not good enough. Hopefully it’s just as evident to Michael Beale that most of the squad are spineless losers.
