Now their “taking a knee” to racist, anti-White, anti-nuclear family, communistic Black Lives Matter. The Black players give the Black power salute and it is all backed by the football associations. They’ve gotten away with it because fans have been absent due to lockdown but recently a limited number of fans have been allowed in to certain games. The “kneelers” have been roundly booed by Millwall, Colchester and QPR fans and it is the fans that have been condemned as “racist” by football authorities, media and politicians. Changed days indeed.
Stop living in a Dreamworld. It it werent Money Motivated. Why did they get Wages. Win Bonus. Goal Bonus. Testimonial after 10 years. Boot Deals Book Deals. Quite a few got Appearence Money. They left Scotland for England to get far bigger Wages. Lou Macari said when he went Man Utd 74ish they doubled his wages. Then they got a signing on Fee. You sure it werent Money Motivated. Ive just proved it was. None did anything for nothing.
So was I. It was my first old firm game and I can remember it like yesterday. Can always remember the tims running back in when they got their penalty only for Coisty to finish them off in extra time. WATP
Celtic hold all the club attendance records at Hampden. The 1937 Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen drew an official crowd of 147,365, a world record for a club match, with 20,000 more people locked outside. The European Cup match between Celtic and Leeds United in 1970 was attended by 136,505, which is a UEFA competition record.
I was there- the good old days when the players and all the coaching staff had real passion for their clubs - Big Jock punching the air when we scored and Frank Connor snarling - guys that lived and breathed their clubs - it really hurt them that day and I loved it.
Yee Gods, that's when football was football. Don't support either of them, I'm an Airdrie boy, but I remember my dear granda crying with joy when Coisty completed his hat trick. Whatever happened to Scottish football?
Money, it's ruined football entirely. Too many players making so much money that it wasn't a "big deal" to play for in "outside" leagues. Shame too, the passion of the SPL is pretty compelling at its best.
When the winners of the league cup gained entry first rnd proper to the UEFA cup,None of this coefficient nonsense that has wrecked European clubs tournaments over the past 20 yrs.
We would be better off not entering european competition anymore. It's pointless. I really isn't a competition anymore. Imagine supporting a club that cannot and will not ever win the competition they have entered into. Ever! That's the situation we are in now. That isn't sport...its business.
@@tramlad2 except when the subject is changed to whoever fiddled thier attendance figures, then its celtic who have the most, you need to make your minds up.
Pretty sure this was the first-ever Scottish League Cup final to be shown live on telly. Hampden's capacity back then was 75,000 - the official attendance that day was 66,000. The yawning gaps in that part of the Celtic section was pretty conspicuous. Don't know why they didn't get a full house.
Yes you did. David Hay brought him back as a coach. The story I heard was the youngsters at Celtic idolised him. The idea didn't work because Jinky showed off his skills too often and didn't delegate enough.
SANSOUCCI: we all know they’re called ‘the rangers’. Like we all know that previously they were just called ‘rangers’. At no point were they called ‘Glasgow Rangers’. Hope that helps, would you like it better if I wrote it with crayons on a postcard and sent it to your carer to read for you?
The lower Celtic crowd at this match may be due in part to the violence caused by Rangers fans after they lost the 1980 cup final to Celtic, when adult Rangers fans attacked the children who had run on to celebrate from the Celtic end (it backfired on them as the adult Celtic fans who ran onto the field to protect the younger fans gave the Rangers support a hell of a beating). But no one could blame a lot of the younger Celtic fans for staying away from such a toxic fixture. It's noticeable that Celtic always had far higher attendances for non-Old Firm Hampden finals in that period. In fact, Celtic hold all the club attendance records at Hampden.
@@OLLI-ln7kp The amount of bodies lying injured in the Rangers goalmouth after the riot (compared to NONE in the Celtic goalmouth) proves that despite the Rangers fans running on to attack celebrating kids it was the adult Celtic fans who settled the issue.
Fucking shut up you absolute clown . Rangers fans were massively out numbered and stood their ground against many more tarriers who had to invade the park to celebrate . The fighting started when a tarrier approached the Gers end , kicked a ball into the net and gestured to the Rangers end . Try and rewrite history all you want ..Celts won the game , but the outnumbered Gers fans won the battle !! 🔴⚪️🔵👊
I was there in an overpacked Celtic end. Thats probably why the north terrace looks half full, they all came into our section. That goal by McClair was epic. Tommy Brolin did something similar in the 1994 world cup and was hailed a genius. But Tommy and Chocky did it first!

The Rangers end was overpacked.. & the side.. 40K Rangers there in a 66,000 crowd say's it all. .. whatever way you wanna spin it.. it was a shite turnout from the filth .
